I really do believe he fits the mould of the man needed to rescue this club, his work on his cv speaks for its self.
The "board" need to act quickly to give the man time, hopefully slade

Seems a easy fix tho,
* don't have a relegation on his cv
* never paid a fee for a player at Leyton Orient.
* available with no compensation fee needed.
Surely that appeals to sisu

He may favour that but the squad hasn't been built for that style - the midfield isn't good enough.

In truth a new manager would have real problems trying to recruit. Ideally you'd want to sign 5 or 6 players and ship out a similar number but that's not going to happen

A man of slades calibre and number of years in the game I'm sure he'd identify a suitable midfield enforcer wether on loan or free until the summer.
TM went out and got grant ward when we was struggling too.
It's the same situation any gaffer will find but with the contacts he'd of built up over the years and 600+ games I favour him the most over say Steve Cottrill or a up and coming manager.

One big issue it seems he resigns when the owners are doing things that's means he has no chance and he will end up looking like a shit manager when it's probably not his fault

In all fairness to him it looks like he resigned from Yeovil after cut backs and struggled to build on the back of a playoff final. I've heard Steve Cottrell and paul tisdale of Exeter say it's difficult to get players to go down there, and it's not a big catchment area.

The second time he's resigned was to take on the biggest job of his career at Cardiff, and Barry Hearn has sold the club to a Italian owner so I guess he has no relationship there from the start with the new owners or got wind they wanted there own man, Two Italian managers were sacked in the same season.

I don't think he's that adverse to working under bad owners and in strict business models.

It's a fair point.

A new manager might have to accept relegation this season, in exchange for a free(ish!) hand on building a squad next season.

(Then we can all change it around January 2018 for the next bloke...!)

Think I said the same thing on another thread.

A new manager may have to have on eye on next season in League Two and start assembling a squad for that.
