As long as an 8pm KO I'm up for it, any earlier might be an issue as it's a bitch getting up from Essex on Friday night.

Television companies decide the fixtures, away fans are not considered.

What tradition do they use in the Prem?

Saturdays for me. Otherwise my approx 4 hour journey becomes a rush hour rat race.

What would the gate of been against gillingham on a Friday night if it was just another normal league game? (Northampton move excluded) say had we stayed at the Ricoh I guess the gate would of been about 7-8k? The game was on sky of course and a fair few would of stayed in the pub or home.

On a Saturday I reckon a few more.

No way. Try squeezing an all dayer into 1 hour after work. Not happening.

I do love a Friday night game... We all remember that brilliant night a Sheffield United last year.

Yes I was there. Wasn't on tv either that game. I Think it was because Wednesday were at home on Saturday. What a great game. Leon Clarke ran the show that day. He was a wanker but he is still my favourite Cov player of the last few years. 2 good goals that night.

Tradition is forgotten where money is concerned. Tradition went with Sunday football & the Monday night games in the Prem. Rugby League & Aussie Rules is played here in Australia on Friday nights to big crowds especially Aussie Rules.

In answer to the OP - the crowd for a bog standard league match on a Friday would be pitifully low.

Gillingham was a unique event.

I think there's a genuine case for 11am on Sundays.
