How many shows does the Ricoh have though a year?

Obviously can discount 2012 because of the Olympics, but two last year, none this year, Think from memory only two to four per year since opening, and the Jaguar Arena doesn't have too much business this year.

Lots of people around last year playing, think the Eithad must have had about 7 or 8 large gigs, Bon Jovi, Muse, Robbie Williams(x4), One Direction, this year as you said got One Direction multiple times. Bon Jovi played at Villa Park last year as well i think.

Kings of Leon around, playing Sheffield,Newcastle,Milton Keynes.

Pearl Jam playing Leeds and Milton Keynes.

Admittedly not as many around as last year(but didn't get many of those anyway), but to not get any at all this year, without the standard excuse of football getting in the way?

Not saying it;s not a good venue, but seriously underused.

If I was a local taxpayer and supporter of a local charity I'd wonder what the hell the peoplerunning the community asset were playing at myself.

The Higgs don't take donations though they rely on the money old man Higgs left (mrs PWKH confirmed that last week) so they're unlikely to have supporters. As I said before they're obviously confident enough in ACL to hang on to their share rather than sell it to Sisu for the amounts offered.

It's a shame that relations haven't thawed and we're not back at the Ricoh because Sisu don't want a rent deal whilst the new stadium is built. However if they're able to make do without needing to use that area of the complex which must be fairly low maintenance then fair play to them. (pun not intended)

They've been offered a 3 year deal with the first year at a lower rate to offset any payment contractually owned to Northampton.

They've also been offered a rolling 10 year lease and its been demonstrated previously that taking that and then paying off the balance of the term when the new ground is finished would be better financially than playing at Sixfields.

To be honest I've lost track of what the last offer was. Assuming it was the last one, did we ever find out the full details of what ACL offered through the Football League? Also how would that work with all the noises from Sisu/our club saying that they couldn't go back to renting from the council?

I actually know someone who wanted to leave a substantial amount to Higgs as a legacy. I will now call them in the morning and tell them they don't take donations.

Thanks for that.

Possibly the more sensible course of action would be for that person to contact Higgs and find out if they accept single substantial amounts which is very different to having people out in the street collecting and constant fund raising.
