Well they used too promote it in the reception area and in E-mails to staff.
I don't go on the website so couldn't possibly comment?
Then again they also used to promote the Ice Hockey as we had free tickets a couple of times.

We need to do something and fast. I too have noticed a drop in 12-17s. The match day experience is shocking for everyone but even worse for that age group. The younger kids can go to do the crafts with Pat and Mark (they do a cracking job btw and don't get enough credit). 18+ have the casino. Meanwhile the 12-17s are going up there to watch a very poor standard of football and more often than not they see a crap performance, a demoralising loss & that's it.
It's not even the problem of losing a kid to the London, Liverpool or Manchester clubs either as generally they can't realistically go there every week.
You're 16/17, like football but haven't really been taken to watch the City with your Dad, Grandad or Uncle that often (like countless others they've either given up or don't have the money). You and a mate have got £15 each in your pockets. You can sit on a bus for 40 mins and go to watch the dross at the Ricoh or spend 20 mins on a train and a 15-20 min walk (isn't through any secluded/bad areas) to watch Championship football at Blues.
Now I know things aren't great at St Andrews right now either but at least the football (generally from the opposition) is enjoyable to watch. What would you choose?
You our are so right CJ
those over the age of around 12 have nothing.
The club will not be interested do maybe we as supporters should put some thought into this age group.
maybe talk to ACL, see if an area could be used in some way or form.
lets discuss this in some way CJ
Possibly but this was a long time before sisu were here, got to be at least 15 years ago so nothing new in supporting local teams.
A bit like City used to do with local football teams not sure but does that still go on? Used to give 100's of tickets away free (god forbid)
Remember getting 50 free tickets at Highfield Road for a prem game when my lad played for Finham park Rangers.
All the older fans know (that is anyone over 18 yrs ) something got you engaged with the club around the time you were probably 8-14 yrs of age. A couple of seasons and you are hooked for life. It makes sense to make season tickets for under 16's dirt cheap. They are the long term future of the club
It's not heroin, it's football. People stop going for many reasons... they move away, cannot afford it, lose interest, have other commitments etc. etc. The only sure way to attract fans is to put on exciting performances and move up the divisions. The aren't many people who will go through thick and thin. Another thing, once people stop going, it's doubly difficult to convince them to go back again. And a hell of a lot of people have stopped going under the SISU ownership.
