.... for next season do a flat rate of all under 18's for £5? I noticed the average age of the crowd at the JPT games compared to the league games seemed a lot lower.

They need to engage the next generation and most under 18's can afford a fiver out of their pocket money. They can go with their mates or they have a better chance of parents taking them.

Because the people that buy season tickets have to get better value for their money so it would be unfair on an u18 paying £200 or whatever it is for a season ticket compared to someone who went to say 5 matches or whatever. And if we decrease the price of season tickets it will mean a decrease in how much money can be put into wages due to FFP.

That is how Norwich got youngsters through the gate. If i remember rightly the price a u21s season ticket was dirt cheap and led to a large increase in attendances. ( a couple of decent seasons did help though)

Their season ticket would be based on £5 a ticket so wouldn't be anymore. Perhaps the club throw in some vouchers for the shop as a sweetner for commiting to a season ticket.

Season ticket holder this, season ticket holder that. I m a season ticket holder and would nt mind all under 18 paying a fiver a game I m sure 99% of season ticket holders wo nt mind, the more the merrier. anything to get more fans in. Students ,unemployed for £5 , pusb .

I agree, they should do it for the family zone, then have shed loads of merchandise for sale in the family zone also so the kids are wanting it. Make the money back on merchandise.

They should do it full stop. A group of 18year olds wont want to hang around with a bunch of young kids in the family zone.

Under 10's should be free with an adult even for a walk up.
Under 18's £5 seems about right.
Invest in kids early and get them hooked.

I agree with this and as a season ticket holder wouldn't be bothered by it, tin hat time I would get the money back on senior citizen season tickets they start too early at 60 should be 70+, the person I go with is 65 owns his own business and has loads of cash yet pay nearly half the price I do.

is it really that difficult to ballot season ticket holders to see if they would object to special discounts for kids?
i think the majority would understand the reasoning and back trying to get more kids into the club.
surely this is the sort of issue that the SCG was started up for in the first place.

They just need to go. Simple.

They dont give a shit about CCFC as a club, its just their investment they care about and the shareholders.

They are holding the club back. No investment = no sucess. No sucess = less fans. Its just a downward spiral.

They could turn this club around but dont seem to have the bottle for it.

We need to do something and fast. I too have noticed a drop in 12-17s. The match day experience is shocking for everyone but even worse for that age group. The younger kids can go to do the crafts with Pat and Mark (they do a cracking job btw and don't get enough credit). 18+ have the casino. Meanwhile the 12-17s are going up there to watch a very poor standard of football and more often than not they see a crap performance, a demoralising loss & that's it.

It's not even the problem of losing a kid to the London, Liverpool or Manchester clubs either as generally they can't realistically go there every week.

You're 16/17, like football but haven't really been taken to watch the City with your Dad, Grandad or Uncle that often (like countless others they've either given up or don't have the money). You and a mate have got £15 each in your pockets. You can sit on a bus for 40 mins and go to watch the dross at the Ricoh or spend 20 mins on a train and a 15-20 min walk (isn't through any secluded/bad areas) to watch Championship football at Blues.

Now I know things aren't great at St Andrews right now either but at least the football (generally from the opposition) is enjoyable to watch. What would you choose?

Under 13's should be free and a fiver for under 18's. 2 tickets for 20 quid for 18-22 year old as well.

I tried promoting CCFC when they were on TV against Gillingham - offered everyone in my pub in Germany who watched City with me a free Jägermeister. Only 4 did though. Thought it was good though. Pity that we've imploded since then. Even harder to market a team spiralling downwards..... they won't be on TV much anyway these days.

Maybe we could ask our beloved council to help out with the publicity. They do it with teams from outwith the city so bound to agree.

You also forget PL football at Villa. Although getting a fecking train platform put in place at the Ricoh might help at least on the transport side.
