2 games now he hasn't started. Something going on behind the scenes?

Mogga got it completely wrong yesterday. For 10 mins of the second half we had joe cole as a striker. And still pesisted in long balls.

He started against Burton and didn't look that fantastic just a few glimpses of what he can do. Remember he was out for a long time and is probably still playing catch up.

But he's the only player who can actually create something in our team. You forget his goals before that since he returned. Having hunt playing ahead of him yesterday just didn't make sense

Yesterday, starting without a recognised striker made less sense.

Did you want George Thomas to start?

No I would have started with Tudgay. I would have also started with Maddison and Hunt as a left back. But I don't know who is fully fit and who is carrying knocks.

George Thomas is a good prospect but I don't think he is quite ready yet. Also the current form is not the time to pitch him in. We aren't even creating chances.

But when he got injured we had no-one on the bench that Mogga wanted to use

We aren't creating chances as teams line up 8 strong on the edge of the box every time we come forward. We are too slow moving the ball forward and give the opposition too much time to get their stall set. Its a case of lack of runs from forwards and too many passes from defenders and midfielders. We need to get the final pass in a bit quicker and the forwards need to start making the runs. This has happened all season and teams have started to wise up now.

Sorry wasn't at the game yesterday and did not listen on the radio. I thought I read on the match thread Tudgay came on for Vincelot. For some reason I thought we had started with Cole up front.

Just realised we did start with Tudgay

He's been out for months, maybe TM is being careful and bringing him back gradually. And of course he's young and inexperienced, before the season started we were told he wouldn't play every game.

I don't think Madderz is at a stage where he is a consistent enough player for every game. Mogga has to pick and choose which games to play him. He is still light weight and needs to bulk up a little to cope with the physical demands.

Tudguy had a good first 45 I thought with very little service or support from the three behind. I was gutted he went off injured at half time would have hooked Hunt, Cole or both and slung madders on. I actually would have considered at half time switching to 4-4-2 with MAF & Tudguy up front. Oh well just a very bad day at the office!

But Mogga put hunt ahead of him who hasn't played competitive football for months. If we want to go up we play our best players simple.
