So candidates have been shortlisted. By the time they are interviewed and somebody is appointed I predict 5 more games will have past at least.
Why can't we get a move on. Two examples are Bournemouth and Preston who lost managers and appointed a new manager within days. If we had got a move on the first time round after the shaw fiasco we would have been up there with Bournemouth. And now preston move to appoint Grayson and have got 4 points from two games since.
We just float along whilst in fact we are going backwards. We missed out on Grayson (3 promotions from this league)
They took their time with Robins and we thought they had that right - and to be fair, they did get that right. In fact they got it so right that we paid the price of the success.
So i'm prepared to give them the benefit of the doubt here as well. We've rushed into managerial appointments in the past and look where its got us.
The difference is Bournemouth and Preston sacked their managers so were more prepared to find a new one, in fact I suspect both Grayson and Howe made themselves available to the club before the previous managers sacking..
We've got to wait for the first (and possibly second) choice candidate to turn us down.....whilst walking away nearly pissing themselves laughing.....before we can appoint some mediocre lower league manager who will get lucky by inheriting a relatively strong squad playing with zero confidence, put a run together, before being poached by Leamington FC.....

Quick lets just get Gary Megson in, just so we can appoint someone! The world is going to end in 20 minutes and we NEED to have a manager when it ends.
