What a great thread, for me my parents owned an off licence and grocery shop in Bedworth, and we sold sky blue lottery tickets. Because of that my parents where given a season ticket. I always sat in the sky blue stand, block B, row F, seat 14. Great great days.

Family were Irish (from Cork), but came over to England just before I was born. I was born in Gulson Road Hospital 60 years ago. My mad Irish Uncle supported City as soon as he came over, as did my old man and older brother so it just followed that I supported them as well.

My Dad was a Cov fan and took me to my first game in 1988 I think against Liverpool. We lost 1-0 and Peter Beardsley scored a screamer at the Kop end. Remember we were sat in the West Terrace.

Reminiscing now and have the Villa boxing day game in my head now!

I'm 20 and I've followed cov since I was born. Even tho I moved to Bournemouth at 7. People at school used to take the piss, all man u, Chelsea and saints fans, how right they were :facepalm: but still follow them no matter what. Done a few midweek games this season returning home at 1am+ PNE in JPT was worth it tho and crawley 3-1 at home

Brought up in Cov and always supported them ever since I can remember thanks to my Dad who was a fanatic...

Now I have a new son and live in Milton Keynes, my Dad reckons I should bring him up supporting the Dons...

I'll take him to a few matches at the Ricoh when we get back there (cos I'm sure we will!), then a few games at Stadium MK when he's a bit older and let him make up his own mind...

My grandparents were married at Binley Church. Both had their funerals there.

My Mum was christened, married and had her funeral at Binley Church. My Dad, when he passes, will follow her.

I was christened, as was my sister, cousins and every member of my generation; at Binley Church. You kinda get the gist...

Everyone, in all three generations, for over 70 years, supported the City.

Born at Walsgrave hospital lived in Earlsdon, moved away when' 14 because of dads job. Lucky to be a cov fan though !!! The first match i went to was at Leeds elland road I have a lot of family in Leeds and my uncle is a massive Leeds fan.
I think the actual moment i became a cov fan was the year i don't remember exactly because we had a lot of years like that, but i remember listening on the radio as a kid to a cov versus Liverpool game which we needed to win to stay up. It was because we achieved what was thought impossible at the time. Some of you will remember i think it was the year we won the last three or four games to stay up.
That was the moment which inspired me as a kid to be a cov fan !!!!

Born in Cov (at the Walsgrave naturally) lived in Wyken till the age of 6 when Dad was headhunted from Alvis to go and work at Austin-Rover as it was then so we moved to Worcestershire. Post-university I moved north but all my family are from Cov as is my wife and her family so we frequently go back to the city to see them despite living in the Peak District now.

Funny thing is Dad isn't a football fan at all, he and and both my Grandads are/were big Rugby fans. Dad played for Cov RFC in the seventies and my Grandad was chairman of the Rugby club for a time. I still follow rugby and Cov RFC but I guess all my mates at school were football fans and so I had to have a team to follow. Being Worcestershire, my classmates were predicatably either Vile fans or plastic Man U fans with the odd west brom/birmingham/Forest follower chucked in. For me it just seemed the right and obvious thing to follow the team from the city of my birth.

A sort of legacy, Went with my dad when we were the "Bantams"(Thick royal blue and white stripes) through the JH years(Pop and crisps) My Dad and me are in the photo when we beat Wolves at HR to get to the 1st Division(CCFC website) Always supported the "City" even when I was playing football north of the border.
