Absolute rubbish. The sad thing is, you know it too.

All the "top class sport" line is rubbish too.

Might have known you'd pop up.

At the risk of being a stuck record, I cannot yet understand how anybody can condone a sporting club being moved for financial reasons. Why would it be in any way appropriate to tie colours to the mast of an entity who shows themselves to have little regard for space, place, heritage, and identity? If it thus suited them to move CCFC for financial reasons, they would do so.

And if we condone Wasps doing it, then we condone CCFC doing it further down the line.

But this is a stuck record.

Problem is when someone proclaims themselves to be so strongly against franchising that out of principal that they will never go, than they leave themselves open to accusations of hypocrisy.

Have you ever been to Mk Dons or Arsenal?

Given the other stuck record, for many years, has been me pointing out the folly of masses of people going to MK...

It even helped stop LAST going last season, so had a positive effect

Fuck me it’s a parrot.

The irony is always lost on you.

You claim NW is chest beating whilst yet again try big up the alleged top class sport. Sounds like chest beating to me. How ironic.

You then write your standard franchising line, missing the irony on two levels.

First we understood what the word meant long before Wasps, you clearly didn’t, and as you are such a fan of franchising I take it you would fully support CCFC rehoming out of the city and would actively support it? I am sure you would as you seem to endorse a club doing it for the sake of the team, something you clearly state in your post above. How ironic

I hate SISU for what they have done to CCFC and want them gone, I dislike Wasps for what they have done and want them to fail, and I pity you your stupidity.

(Expect usual reply of chest beating yadda yadda totally missing the point)

The differences between the two are massive, and you well know it. Wasps have been moving around the place and splitting up and moving again since they first existed. Wasps fans didn't protest the move in any serious fashion and seemingly understand the situation.

It's not about condoning it, it's been part of their history since day one pretty much. It's a totally different scenario to last season for a multitude of reasons, mainly the history of the club, and the fans feelings.

This whole hand wringing is fabricated nonsense. This is proven because those doing the most hand wringing were the ones most gung ho about the move to Sixfields last season. It's getting boring now, it's nothing to do with CCFC, it's a non-issue created by a few on here who want to cause trouble. Most Coventry citizens that I've met welcome Wasps, I've met far more local kids who support them than CCFC as well.

Fine if you don't agree with them being here for whatever reason, but it's got fuck all to do with CCFC and shouldn't really be on this forum.

I'd also point out that I don't hear you bitching about Blaze (who also moved here) or Coventry Crusaders when they were here. OR fuck it, why not complain that the Ricoh is full of people who obviously aren't Singers employees and as such are clearly bandwagon jumpers.

Fucking faux outrage.

Absolute nonsense again. Why do people insist on peddling this rubbish?

And yep, bitched plenty about Blaze ta very much! More made-up shit from you, but then most of your posts recently have been a diatribe of gibberish.

Two things strike me in this thread.

First of all, Wasps existence has no detrimental affect on Ccfc whatsoever. They are not responsible for anything that is wrong with the football club.

Secondly, many Wasps fans seem to support the move (possibly a majority?), what right have we got to tell them what is right and wrong for their rugby club? If they are happy with their club franchising, what business is that of ours?

There is no evidence to suggest the majority of their fans support it.

According to Eastwood over 92% of fans are from the CV postcode area so that means a lot less than 50% of their fan base actually attend matches.

Yep that 73 year stay in Sudbury until their next move was a short stay, in fact the well over 100 year stay in North London was over in shot before they moved to Wycombe and then Coventry. Where next?

Hand wringing and fucking faux outrage indeed.

As you are someone who likes to ask other posters for proof, I would like to ask where I could see evidence of this mass of wasps supporters support for the move? I am yet to be convinced so would welcome you showing me where all this evidence is so I can get a more balanced assessment.

Context is everything. As football's tribal it tends towards the myopic, but it's why things that have ramifications further down the line get passed over. This is one of them.

it's also now something of a battle for survival of the fittest.

And then we go back to the ideas of identity, and how Wasps' very presence here clouds that.

No they are doing it for financial gain - as with sisu their ownership trail is murky and it's debt ridden murk as well.

No you said they are doing it for the team - they are not. No one knows the motivation and if they see an opportunity to profit in two years could very easily move again.

They like debt onto wasps holdings and companies house rating is the same as sisu capital - high risk. So the strategy is very similar.

After all, 'doing it for the team' had a stated aim of moving back to London, to their roots.

Would I trust an entity who backtracked on such a public proclamation quite so rapidly? Not really.

It's a bit like Tim Fisher coming out and saying he loves the club, isn't it. In fact, his new ground is probably more upfront about it all, given he consistently rules out Coventry as a place for it(!)

It's known that the company has negative value of £14.25 million.

It's known wasps holdings is owned by Camango which has one share issued to Derek Richardson

It's known Camango has a parent company called moonstone limited which seems to have a company number not recognised by companies house. Therefore it's likely to be a Florida based investment portfolio company which has subsidiaries in Malta and Jersey.

Given that you constantly bleat haft CCFC will never own the Ricoh why are you happy wasps don't own it but comango (or is it moonstone) do? Who are moonstone and what is their interest? Why has the holding company got such a negative worth?

Italia is probably hoping Man City will then move their B team into the Ricoh, so he can walk to see more top class sport.

No, thats doing it for the fans.
They have already said that the team will now be only one of three in the UK that will be in profit.
Sisu played for the Ricoh (and lost) solely to get the Ricoh for themselves.

I have no evidence, hence why I put a ? next to my comment.

Do you have evidence a majority were against it? What high profile protests were there?

The point being, not to denegrate those there, but rather to suggest a Rugby club that had gates of 1,000 in Sudbury, and was then moved outside the boundary anyway, was probably onto a loser for marshalling what is a geographically dispersed bunch of fans. If, however, we're saying little attendance shows nobody cares about a decision, then we're on shaky ground with many of our own protests.

It's irrelevant what the history of losses is , if the aim for the future is to keep your team at the top based on income from their investment in the Ricoh.
I understand the situation about Moonshine etc but I asked you to explain the 'murky' past.

When I bleat about CCFC owning the Ricoh I am just telling the ill informed that Sisu will own any new stadium we play in not CCFC. If they got the Ricoh they would also own that.
For some reason people think CCFC will own any new stadium built and have access to all the profits, when in reality they will rent off Sisu and be subject to any incomes Sisu allow them to have. Exactly the same situation we are in at the moment.

All I'm saying is the most important stakeholder in any sports club is its fans.

As I've said IF a majority of fans supported the move then who are we to tell them their wrong?

They don't own the stadium either do they? So you know they are not paying rent and / or management charges do you? Thought not.

I am not taking about historical losses but the fact they are a high risk company in debt with a very poor credit rating and history.

Context.

Nothing sits in isolation.

If the footballing community had been more united against Wimbledon, it wouldn't have gone through after all. But because it didn't bother many, 'they were only Wimbledon, they get piss-poor gates anyway' it was allowed to slide.

Sure, there were cries against it, but self-interest meant they never got beyond the slightly patronising... missing the fact self-interest would have seen outrage from Man Utd to Maidstone.
