Oh feck off Grendel. At a time you know SISU's solicitors are watching sites such as this, you - for the sake of fun - try to goad someone into libel? Where the hell do you get off?

With 'fans' like this, I'm cashing in, sorry lads and lasses.....

No I'm bored with people who quote facts (like 12,000 stadiums) which are made up crap

Ultimately tells you nothing -- if a major build project was a possibility which creates serious employment opportunities it becomes a very focussed discussion

Actually there is a bit in the new defamation act 2013 which I haven't read fully yet but appears to give operators of websites like this one a better defence.

Whatever happened to the site SISU had agreed terms with a few months ago? Serious question.

But I still contest there is a deal to be done.

Let's not dwell on the past and the inflated rent and how things used to be. The key now is if there is a deal to be done now and one that beneifts all parties and I believe that there is.

Fisher in that link you posted says 18,000 but that we can grow. What's he think he can do, just water the stadium and instantly we will suddenly have a 25,000 capacity?

If we build an 18,000 seater stadium and then have success, there will be no instant capacity increase and you and I know it and so does Fisher too. It will take time to build and expand and in fact would probably lower capacity while any building work was taking place.

The whole new stadium idea is a joke.

A deal has to be done at the Ricoh, pure and simple.

Have you not updated your League Table since our accounts for that season were released?

Otis, I agree. Unfortunately, I can't see any way this can happen unless some major spanner is thrown into to works of SISU or CCC.

The Ricoh is surely the only option because its up and running. Its a physical entity and the only thing that needs to be sorted out is how much its worth. The council can't give it away at the price SISU will probably want. SISU, likewise, can't run up much more debt as they'll never make a return. The problem is, I feel, both sides have too much face to lose.

The whole new stadium idea is a joke, absolutely right. What investor would lend SISU money to build a new venue, or what building firm would start laying bricks unless they get a large wedge up front?

This HR2 fantasy is another gamble for SISU - will they have an end product that the fans will adopt, and will the team playing it in be worth anything and in the FL proper? I know they keep banging on about being here long term, but the longer they are IN CCFC, the more the debts rake up, and the less likely there will be anyone else wanting to buy them out.

Joy, surely, now taking an active interest will know this is a bridge too far - hence the willingness to talk about freeholds.

SISU only interested in the Ricoh....everything riding on the JR. All their eggs in one basket. All the rest is buying time hoping they can keep distressing ACL.

To be honest I've always been disappointed with the whole Ricoh site. The ground pretty full is fine in a football sense. But the spec of it, facilities for fans are pretty naff.
There is land coming from the car park through the tunnel that could have quite easily been turned into all weather sports pitches, bringing in much needed revenue and, more importantly, providing another facility for Coventry. Instead it is a muddy nothing stretch of land that is an eyesore and a waste. Alongside it is a bank full of shopping carts and rubbish. I wouldn't want a hotel room near that.
A little club like Shrewsbury have sports pitches around their ground, artificial areas that help the club and the community.
Where are the gyms, the CCFC museum, the links with the community that were all promised when it was in planning? I'm not going to mention the Green Plan and the railway.
The finish inside the ground is functional. Toilets are inadequate. They didn't enforce the no smoking rigidly enough. It is generally scruffy. And dull.
The Prawn sandwich side is tired and dated.
I honestly think it could do a lot better.
Having said that, of course it is the only place CCFC should be playing.

June 2013, letter to staff. Any possible stadium for a ground-share to have a minimum capacity of around 10,000 or more, 1st lie.we`re down to two or three sites in the immediate coventry area, and we`re going into the final furlong of site negotiations, 2nd lie. It is likely that in two or three weeks, we could be selected as the preferred buyer for one of these sites, lie 3.Would you like me to carry on Grendel, it must hurt you to agree with me as you have said they are not going to build a stadium.

Extract from shareholders meeting below ...
12,000 - 15,000 usually means 12,000 and 20,000 to 22,000 usually means 20,000
Uncannily the same as Rotherhams which is mentioned in the old article you posted above.
Does us all a favour, save us some bandwidth :jerkit:

Floor: "Who has benefited from the sale of assets?"
TF: "Otium purchased everything for nothing. No cash flowed. Writing off debt. Contingent payment".
SB: "Otium owned Holdings already".
SB: We’ve had to work with Companies House and BDO as lots of other auditors wouldn’t take us on.
TF: “Would you want your accountancy/auditor firm associated with all this?"

TF: "The stadium is based on 60 acre site which will also house the academy. 12-15,000 seater rising to a MAXIMUM of 20-22,000 as Coventry City won’t ever need anything any bigger than that”.

Fans ? like Tim Fisher at shareholders meeting. Talk about selective vision.
Just as a matter of interest what capacity do you think it will be based on facts available?
Secondly what capacity should it be based on history, aspirations and fan vase?

Difficult I know, but try and be constructive.

So after 24 hours of trawling that is the best you can do? I think you get easily confused as rotherhams design is mentioned you in your simple way assume the same capacity.

Even this one extract didn't say 12,000 did it despite your stupid comment its 12 - 15 so must be 12.

All public statements say more but you continue to misrepresent public statements - carry on.

That's the most ironic thing on here.

All this debate on here in reaction to the OP suggesting the fairest thing to do is let SISU build their own stadium.

When the OP themselves openly states that they do not believe SISU will build a stadium.!

You should have either agreed or disagreed with the facts as I presented them; which I recall you didn't do - probably as it didn't suit your cause, or you were simply incapable. To not do so, and then come back sneering some months later seems a bit cheap if you don't mind me commenting so.

Cheap; but not surprising....

I did disagree with your "facts", you said that we had the lowest wage bill in the league at the time we got relegated, when asked for facts to back-up your assertion you gave half-baked guesses from the CET.

You are still saying that we had one of the lowest wage bills in the Championship, even though correct figures are there to be used.

I know it's unlikely that you will ever admit that you are wrong, but mere suppostion stated as fact seems to be your raison d'etre for most of your arguments.
