I presume that we will continue to use the "one up front" system with McSheff in support, but with Ball & Goldie cup tied / possibly gone, who does this mean we will play up front?

Elliot - think he is injured?

McDonald - is he fully fit?

Jeffers - on loan at Tamworth

This leads to the frightening thought that we'll try to crack a Premier League defence with ROD as our main attacker! As if that wasn't bad enough, the thought of Gareth Bale against Jordan Clarke is making me wake up in the night with a cold sweat!

All we need is a Gary Mabbutt, and we'll be fine.

we have to go with two forwards surley, but can see Robbins going 4-5-1

Sheff and Ball for me, dunno what the hell is going on with Cody, is he injured, bad attitude or bonus scheme not sorted :thinking about:

I'd play ROD and Cody. ROD works his socks off and unlike every other striker we've got actually wins stuff in the air.

Frightening for Spurs you mean! Gallas and Vertonghen will be quaking in their boots up against ROD

2 forwards? 4-5-1 is working well for us!

McGoldrick isn't cup tied is he? Just refused permission from Forest? If he signs he will play.

I actually think more that we will get him. A small fee to Forest and he's off their wage bill. Stay with us till the end of the season and possibly have a really good shop window to reach 30 goals for the season with appearances in FA Cup to come, JPT where there is a good possibility now of a final at Wembley and a good bet on still achieving promotion?

Or would you be forced to move to Barnsley or some other team and have to start again? As for the likes of Cardiff, Leeds, Hull and quite a few others they have not got the money. Others would need to break their FP rules. Its more difficult than you think.

I can see him being with us if the player himself has any sense over his agent.

It only works well because of mcgoldrick. The thought of McDonald playing that role is the stuff of nightmares.

Friend of mine knows him, she says that the other players take the piss out of him for being overweight - last time I saw him up close was at Brentford and he looks pretty stocky....seems like another Eastwood situation

He scored against Sheff U in our first home game of the season, well-taken finish too. I like him but he has slipped off the radar...

I agree, but does it give you more nightmares than the prospect of ROD in the same position?

The only thing ROD has ever won in the air is a £10 on a scratchcard on easyJet

That wasn't my point.

We can suggest stuff all day, but, realistically, would you happy with 2 strikers, say (a combination of) Ball + Cody + McSheff? I wouldn't, if McG leaves we've 100% got to get a replacement!

We have to put down our best offer to McG - fast, with fingers crossed. The only hope we have is valuation, we value McG more than any club interested in him, so me may get desperate and get lucky!

Elliot is shit.

He was fecking awful at Tranmere early in the season. I would have made more of a contribution in the game & I'm 41 & was pissed....

The fact that he doesn't even make the bench these days gives me more confidence in Robins....

McGoldrick won't be here so I assume Robins will play ROD up top on his own.
