Wallace and Ferguson.
I spent my 8th birthday in hospital and had a visit from Mick Ferguson. He even signed his picture in the history of CCFC book that I got from my mum and dad.
I think about getting Ian Wallace to sign the same picture (they are both in the picture) every legends day but at 54 don't want to look like a gimp taking a book to the match

Terry Gibson was my first. Cried my eyes out when he left. Then Oggy and Cyrille were mainstays throughout the rest of my childhood with very honourable mentions to Speedie, Gallacher and Ndlovu.

Dion Dublin. According to my old man I loved him before I loved Coventry City.

His was Ernie Hunt and Tommy Hutch.

You can't have a childhood hero and spell his name wrong. I don't think you liked David Burrows at all.

Ndlovu, Whelan, Huckerby, Dublin and John Salako because he gave me a thumbs up in the crowd after I high pitch squeeled his name when I was very young, always stuck with me.

Mine was Peter Ndlovu. Loved the way he ran at players and scored some ridiculous goals.

Then as I got older I discovered that he fathered half of Coventry, so he was a top shagger as well as a top footballer.

Who were your childhood heroes?

Same, Peter Ndlovu. I remember meeting him at HR at a fan signing day once. I was so shy! I asked him how he pronounced his surname. Was in unlove, or nudlove. I didn't understand his reply but it was neither the above. Something in his local tongue that I didn't understand. The next time I got as star struck was many moons later when I took my lad up to Allen Higgs for the Christmas party and met Joe Cole. I just stood and stuttered at him
a full grown 6'3" 110kg bloke, just stood and stuttered at Joe Cole like a right tit!

I also (and can bet I'm not the only one on here that can say this) at the age of 10 really wanted dreadlocks because of a certain USA midfielder. I was of course told no by my parents. But how many on here wanted dreadlocks in their early years like me?

Graham Oakey because I played RB in the school team, so I wanted to be him. Grew my hair was really upset when I was dragged to the barbers.
