jimmy Hill but soon left having introduced Noel Cantwell who was manager for my first game v Fulham a couple of weeks later

I'm not 100% sure. Mercer and Milne were the newly installed management team, but I think initially Joe Mercer was the official manager. The match programmes from that time certainly have him writing the manager's column.
