Don Mackay. With a football suspended half way to the moon representing the style of that era. Accompanied by a mural of 7,000 freezing long suffering souls at HR wondering ‘WTF is this’ as the ball was launched towards the mixer for the 1,000th time that afternoon. We sometimes think things are bad these days - 1985 was a whole new level of suffering.

Mackay was given a hospital pass as an appointment and saved the club from going down and into oblivion. For that at least we should be grateful.

He was a progressive coach and had some success at Blackburn and Fulham. He then was a main scout for Arsenal

There should only ever be statues of Jimmy Hill, John Sillett, George Curtis and Mark Robins.

Surely we'd like one of the new manager as well in a few years?

The answer is so obviously Mark & Adi.

Only so that when I go up in years to come with friends and children that I can let everyone know that they didn't actually like each other and be hailed as the next Jim Brown.

They could have the two of them facing away from each other
