Show me where I said it was no different or pipe down.

I was saying the kids are still there and are bothered, there are kids who are still as excited about going to games every week. There are kids nearly wetting themselves with excitement at Christmas parties because they get to meet the players.

i never disputed kids dont already go or that they dont already have heroes. i said that last night was great for kids, all smiling etc. and they need more nights like that with big matches, wins, atmosphere etc

please explain how any of the above deserved a reply of invite kids round ya house to watch football on sky?

The bit about how bad it was, yes the 2nd half wasn't the best but we held on which made it good.

It was lower league football on a shit pitch, it was better than other performances and Wycombe looked better than some teams we have played this season especially in the second half.

yes i agree we held on! thats what i mean about winning. its essential

if we play ugly and lose then its not great memories for the kids!

The kids are there through thick and thin which was my point, whether it's Huckerby or Ndlovu or not.

I haven't said last night wasn't different as it is obvious it was.

you said the kids are always here as if no different to a saturday. myself, otis and others on different threads have mentioned that more kids there yesterday and great to see with smiles on their faces. and hopefully they will become hooked.

yesterday was better for the kids. we need more nights like this. the attitude of there always there so why aim for more magical nights is quite frankly scary.

you still have explained why you made a dig about kids coming over to my house to wacth champions league. please explain or apolgoise?

I thought it was your policy to watch games on sky rather than go to them? Self explanatory really.

it usually is. but some games are more about the occasion/atmosphere like fa cup quater or first game vs gills or last night. and even if it is my policy is that a reason for you to have a dig? man watches game on sky shock horror!

my original point had nothing to do with sky. i said it wa sgreat to see so many happy kids there and for that we need alot of factors to see it continue. ugly football plus losing is not gonna give kids the memories they deserve.

i get it. you thought ud have a dig,you thought everyone would join in with you. it backfired because i have the truth behind me.

i forgive you because im a nice guy. i think you will learn from this...hopefully.

happy to move on now.

Seeing my lads face this morning, upon telling him the score was priceless.
He was walking to school this morning singing the Wembley song...

Too young to go, or are you just a bad parent?

i used his age as an excuse (he's 4) but I couldn't take seeing him being as disappointed as he was after the Cambridge cup game

Yeah, fair point. For every euphoria of such a win there is the other side of the coin of bitter disappointment of a defeat.

I used to be heartbroken when I was a kid and the City lost.

I remember a game against Newcastle in the cup. I think we had drawn 1-1 and the reply was on the radio. I was so excited and so expectant of a win and tuned in excitedly.

I listened in bed and listened to us get thrashed 4-0.

I cried all night.

Not just the real young kids, but the amount of 14-18 year olds at the games still is impressive. 5 quid for an under 21 works well.

there should be a stigma attached to being a glory supporter. We as parents can help, encourage your kids to make life uncomfortable for the man u and chelsea supporters. I'm not condoning violence but maybe verbal abuse and the odd Chinese burn...................I'm joking of course!

That kid’s reaction was a model of restraint and maturity compared to my mine at the game. I went absolutely flipping mental, and there’s still a silly grin on my face 24 hours later

OK it’s not the world’s most sought-after trophy, but this day out to Wembley feels like walking into the gates of paradise after so many years of nothingness.
