N.Ireland, Iraq and Afghanistan. Ive also buried 15 friends and lived with PTSD and nightmares almost my entire adult life. In fact, the one thing they all had in common is not wanting anyone else to have to go through it. Although to be fair those are WW2 vets, I've no doubt there's a good few bitter boomers who'd love to see kids dying in trenches if it stops them committing horrific crimes like dancing in supermarkets and having blue hair.
