Of course they are capable for one game at a time!We currently have to many players out of form, in particular all of the back four and our backups Wolf,Bidwell and Brau are not up to standard. Grimes dropped off, Torp injured to often, Rudoni not the player he was last season, Saka great as an impact player, Simms an enigma and Wright hit and miss. Put this all together and the fact that teams have worked out how to beat us, you can see why we are struggling.
I am also really surprised with Lampard, I just don't understand why he keeps playing the same players and formation when its clear we have issues. When we were playing well, he would make tactical changes during matches and we all thought he was a tactical genius, what's changed, has he dropped off a bit as well?
I love our football club, it was so good when we were playing well, scoring for fun but I was also realistic in that it wouldn't last all season. I think though a lot of us are just sad at the massive drop off, I don't think anyone thought it would have been this much. Teams around us have had wobbles but I don't think as bad as what we are going through and that's also annoying. Middlesborough and Hull, have kicked on again, can we find form again, I hope so don't forget we are Coventry City and never do things the easy way.
Our anthem is
Singing together
Fight till the game is won
We were always better supporters than other teams because of the Phoenix Rising from the flames reborn stuff
Much like most of the history it’s been forgotten or misused
I’m half your age and don’t think I’d see it in my lifetime, never mind yours!I fall into the camp of those who are worried about what has happened to us in the past couple of months because (a) I love this club, which I have supported for 63 years, and - as I turn 71 in a couple of weeks - am fearful that, if we don't come up this season, I may never see them in the top flight again and (b) the contrast between how we were up the the end of November and since then is frankly astonishing. We have gone from dominating the league to having the form of relegation candidates.
I would probably feel better if we were in our current position having played at a reasonably consistent and decent level throughout the season. It is the fall from brilliant to rubbish that is doing my head in. I just hope that FL can find the answer quickly and that we can perhaps get a couple of players in who can make a difference, although my optimism on that front is fading as well.
Life was ever thus as a Sky Blues fan! At least, even if we don't get promoted this season, things are still a million times better than they were. It's not that long ago that we had terrible owners, were spiralling down the league pyramid, thought we might go out of existence and didn't even play in Coventry. Looking back at that, I've just cheered myself up a bit

Some reinforcements could give us such a boostBar the Ipswich games, our other defeats (all away) have been 2-3, 2-3, 1-2, 1-2. Fine margins, and yes, we have obviously been below par lately. Yet, we have an incredible home record (second to none), and if we (team and fans) can galvanise for the next couple of games (hopefully with at least one reinforcement), there is no reason we can't kick on.
We desperately needed reinforcements in CM and defence so we bring in Markelo whose not even match fit and a winger. Some reinforcements could give us such a boost
Not players like Markelo though. They have to be oven ready and able to slot in immediately.
I don't think.many did what they didn't expect was the poor performances , a wide open defence and a midfield with all the pace of an OAP.The reaction to the QPR loss is incredible to be frank. I can only conclude that people actually believed we would just blow this league away. It was never going to happen. This is a dogfight of a league.
It was a disgusting performanceThe reaction to the QPR loss is incredible to be frank. I can only conclude that people actually believed we would just blow this league away. It was never going to happen. This is a dogfight of a league.
Even fucking Lesta are signing midfielders, Joe Arebo on loan from Saints. How difficult is it to get just one fucker in? Doug is playing a dangerous, stupid gameWe desperately needed reinforcements in CM and defence so we bring in Markelo whose not even match fit and a winger.
Why not plat a more defensive game when we got the lead? Frank plays us too open and look what happensThe reaction to the QPR loss is incredible to be frank. Why? We’ve conceded soft goals for 3 years. We play with a back 2 and chanced our arm. Rushworth has kept us in endless games and we had a period where everything came off at the other end. Anyone could see we were ridiculously open and now it’s hurt us a couple of times.I don't think.many did what they didn't expect was the poor performances , a wide open defence and a midfield with all the pace of an OAP.
How many points clear should a team be before the fans can start expecting to do well? Clearly 13 wasn’t enough so would 20 do the trick? The reaction to the QPR loss is incredible to be frank. You’re right there, according to the TV coverage I watched yesterday Rushworth has stopped more goal bound chances than any other keeper in the championship. Speaks volumes for how open and vulnerable we have become. Why? We’ve conceded soft goals for 3 years. We play with a back 2 and chanced our arm. Rushworth has kept us in endless games and we had a period where everything came off at the other end. Anyone could see we were ridiculously open and now it’s hurt us a couple of times.
I mean mate you have to be the most clueless fooker on here and that's saying something. Why? We’ve conceded soft goals for 3 years. We play with a back 2 and chanced our arm. Rushworth has kept us in endless games and we had a period where everything came off at the other end. Anyone could see we were ridiculously open and now it’s hurt us a couple of times.
If we were playing anything like before I would agree, but it’s so much more disjointed and slow, mixed in with aimless hoofs up the pitch.I think others have rightly pointed out, and the QPR game illustrates this succinctly, is that the rest of the league have worked us out.
My take on what I have seen is that the players cannot adapt to that reality. They cannot up their game to overcome it.
