We have started well. Shame about 10 points deducted but regardless of that there is great hope at the moment we could still make the playoffs. Why not? We have Clarke and Wilson up front and a strong midfield group.

Who are the teams that will fall away from early form and which ones will maintain or gain momentum?

I think Preston will be right in there. I don't see L.Orient maintaining form they are showing. Wolves must be favourites? Sheff Utd have started badly. Tranmere and Swindon not what they were last year either.

So how do we rate our chances?

From the current top 6 I'd say Rotherham are most likely to drop off into mid table. Orient won't go up but could sneak into a play off place

wolves, pboro and preston will be up there, rest is interchangeable

we can beat anyone on our day so top 6 is definitely on

if we win next week lets hope rest of bottom half does too as we will get closer to the playoffs points wise, not that i would be dissapointed with an aesthetic jump of about 7 places if they all lose lol

I think Posh are going to be really tough to beat this season.

I think they will win this League this season.

I'm starting to get confident about our chances you know, win the next 2 and we're in the mix... Playing well and I think the quality is there for the run to continue.

Wolves won't be top 3, they're nothing special, Crawley proved that by completely outplaying them at Molyneux.

On current form Cov are the best side.

But with SISU in control, we're just as likely to suffer another points deduction before the season's over as we are to finish anywhere near the top.

Wolves and Pboro will be top 2

I believe it will go something along the lines of 3) Mk Dons 4) Coventry 5) Preston 6) Sheffield Utd

The thing is we have only played 2 of the current top 10 and gained 1 point from the 2 games (Crawley and Preston) so I think we will know a lot more about where we are at the end of October. Playing Stevenage, Sheffield United, Wolves and Orient will show us where we really are.

Im not too fussed about going up this season a season of stability and setting foundations is more important however it would be nice to have something to shout about

yes mate I agree it is possible im just unsure about what funds will be available to SP if promotion was secured. Our squad is too thin for championship football and we would finish bottom with what we have now. Id rather finish 7th this year. Add quality to the squad and i dont think winning the league is a bad shout next term. It will be interesting to see what happens with the stadium if we get promoted because I dont see any other option but to broker a return to the Ricoh

I admire your confidence, however the 6 years spent there under SISU give me no reason to believe this time would be any different, which is a shame

but what about the last 2 years where they have backed managers?

since TF famous "we failed" speech they have backed the team on the pitch, got to admit that.

promotion would just show them that it works better than selling best players imo

It will take more than a speech and 6 months worth of backing the playing side to give me a change of heart. The thing is I honestly see SISU running the club for at least the next 5 years so I hope what your saying actually happens
