DaSilva?

Torp?

Rudoni?

Thomas?

Kitching?

BTA?

A.N.Other?

Just seeing the JDS thread and how much he's come on in the last 12 months, interested to see which player people think has improved the most since FLs time here.

In relative terms it has to be Dasilva - while he hasn’t hit the heights of players like Rudoni or Torp, to go from a regular liability to a first team mainstay is a remarkable turnaround.

Heightest mate. Don't like to see it.

Probably Dasilva - gone from looking like an obvious weak link to a solid option. Way clear of Bidwell now after spending a lot of time behind him in the pecking order.

Could say Rudoni, who might be the best player in the league but we'll see what happens when he returns from injury.

BTA has been amazing but I suspect that is partially just an incredible hot streak and he won't keep this level up long term.

JDS, he looked hopeless.

Torp and Rudoni always had solid underlying numbers. BTA was a solid Championship striker when we signed him.

Thomas and Kitch were good in 23/24, they’ve developed over time.

JDS has definitely improved but it's also in the context of an obvious regression from Bidwell

BTA if he can keep it up.
JDS has always had technical ability and has been helped by our overall defensive play this season.

There were times when BTA looked like he couldn't trap a bag of cement or pass 3 yards to a team mate. Totally different player this season.

Rudi. Would drift in and out of games a bit, has become a whole other player under Lampard.

You could make a case for all of them:

Dasilva - Went from being 2nd choice to one of the best LBs in the division and a Welsh international.
Torp - Went from looking like a player that had something that needed to be unlocked and now has unlocked it.
Rudoni - Looked okay under Robins now arguably the best player in the division since Lampard has come in.
Thomas - Was good under Robins but has stepped up again.
Kitching - Was 4th choice CB under Robins at times and is now one of the first names on the team sheet and vice captain.
Thomas-Asante - Went from a squad player to the divisions top scorer whilst playing anywhere across the front 3 and in behind as a 10.

Hard to say but if I had to pick one it would be Thomas-Asante for me. His attitude, work-rate and enthusiasm is outstanding.

Our style of play has moved to suit him and away from Bidwell too.

I do feel a bit sorry for Bidwell being asked to play a quick passing game out from the back

The fact that we have the choice of so many player, that we can honestly say, have materially improved since Frank, Chris, and Joe came in, shows how far we've come, even from the Mark and Adi era.
Mark and Adi were good (together), but we never looked even close to being the best team in the Championship under them.
Almost 2 ppg since Frank, Chris, and Joe came in, is incredible, and imho is down to the quality of coaching, of basically the same team (bar a few additions) that Mark and Adi had.

BTA’s hot streak reminds me of Chuba Akpom and Sam Szmodics, who both had an amazing championship season out of the blue. I’d take that by the way. Interesting how long he can keep it going.

Rudoni most improved for me (assuming he hits the levels after injury). A lot of people said he had no end product. Not any more. I think his assists and goals are the most obvious differences in his game which have FLs fingerprints on them.

Paddy Bamford. From no club to a club. From no wages to wages. That’s the most progress of any player.
