Which Coventry player past and present best matches you as a footballer and why? I would have to be Brian Borrows. Solid dependable RB, very much a team player.

Once you have made your choice add yourself to the team below and lets see what we get. Feel free to change the formation.

GK
RB Brian Borrows (1ccfc)

LB

I often played right CB or RB. What i lacked in skill i made up for with sheer determination. My penalties were either powerbolts or a comedy sketch

I'd say Cyrus Christie (don't know many from our past)
(LB in this case)

I can play either wing back role, like to make mazey runs forward and 9 times out of 10 the cross is good, though they don't always come off. Can beat a man but don't have many tricks

I'm a GK. Used to play for Luton town when they were in championship or division 1 as it was. Not really sure who I'm styled like, maybe Westwood as good shot stopper but a bit hesitant on crosses. Always a fans fav tho

I started as a central midfielder, I would get up an support the attackers, but I would also drop in to the position of whichever defensive player had gone on the attack. I could pass and was comfortable on the ball. I grew up admiring the great Glenn Hoddle and so I modelled my game on his style, but I could also tackle too, so as far as City midfielders go I'd say I was most like Lloyd McGrath when I t came to tackling because I was fearless, but I could play a bit too, so a mix between Lloyd and Chris Marsden (he of the too short loan spell).

I was asked to play centre back once, and I was so good I didn't play another game in midfield. Bobby Moore was another I admired, which is why I like players who are comfortable with the ball and don't panic when under pressure. I'd say I was a bit of Peake and Babb, good footballers who didn't panic. I was usually good for 10 goals a season from corners. I'd hand around pretending to mind my own business between the half way line and 15yard box, but once the ball was crossed in I'd move forward and snap up any clearances, and more often than not my long range shots nestled into the back of the net.

some of lads who go down the dev are decent. Dilly's brother Nick used to be play at a good standard folly lane. I also heard one arm jock was a good player back in his day

Don't let the piss stained fucker hear you say that now we'll never hear the end of it! Believe it or not he was better at rugby.

Tommo was captain of Peugeot for a few years and although I've never seen them play I hear Robbie and Polly were both very decent players. Plus Chillo (?) From behind the bar absolutely destroyed us in a charity game the other month.

Back to the thread I'd be Freddie Eastwood, shit, fat and homeless!

Noel Whelan. Not a striker, not a midfielder, good with the ball at my feet and BOY do I score some stunning goals!!

EDIT: More of a striker than midfielder though!

I can pass like Doyle, I can head like Mifsud, I have the pace of De Zeeuw and the strength of Baker, I can catch like Dimi, I can dribble like Platt and I have the finishing of Kevin Kyle.

I am the full package
