Will you go to your 'traditional' drinking spots such as the Casino, Weatsheaf, Cherry Tree etc.

Or

With the train station being built at the Ricoh, will you drink in town and get the quick train to the match just before kick off?

I have heard the Cherry Tree is closing, think it's going to be some sort of centre or care home.

The pubs and clubs around the Ricoh are generally bloody awful. I'd imagine given a decent service many will now hope to hop on the train from CV1, although I can see trouble with that if they don't increase the number of carriages as normally the service runs with a maximum of 2 I think ?

Earlsdon, quick taxi and get on the train. Not having to drink in the wheatsheaf anymore is a bonus.

I think away fans will take over the Litten Tree next season with it being the closest to the station.

Will there be enough trains on for a mass drink in town then last minute to the ground?

When I come up normally booze in town befor grabbing a taxi to the ground......cannot see train station making blind
bit of difference to my usual plans to be honest but good to have the option!

Are there any pubs left near the train station? It would be a good place to meet up in before overcrowding any train. Could end up being a right laugh.

You'd like to think they'd put on a few more trains each hour!

I thought it was a care home that served beer

They will, but only once they realize its causing chaos not doing it.

Agreed. Could improve the matchday atmosphere.

The closest is the Litten Tree, but the station isn't particularly far from the Spoons etc.

By the time you have walked to the station from town, why not just get the bus from town to the Ricoh?

It might make it easier for people like myself to leave the car at home and get the train directly to the arena. It would even be cheaper for me as I should be able to get home after a game and have a good drink at the same time.

Bus would take three times as long and if you get the 20 you have to walk from the other side of Tesco instead of being dropped outside the ground. From what I can remember from getting the train to Nuneaton, you will get to the Ricoh in 5 mins.

Let's be honest, we won't be paying for the train either. Apparently there isn't even a ticket office at the Ricoh station..

Uusally one carriage. We get trains to London about twice a week and every time we see a Nuneaton train it's one carriage only.

Will double or triple that I would imagine. If we are worried about overcrowding on a service for a match with 9000, imagine how difficult it would be for the Wasps with 15k+.

The Rocket is due for demolition to create a Warwick Road entrance to the redeveloped Coventry station...quite how long that will take is anyone's guess though

It will be a two carriage service now, every 15 minutes instead of 1 carriage per hour as it is currently. Don't know whether the frequency/number of carriages will increase further on matchdays.

I think away fans should be directed to a nice place to drink. It's not that far from the station either. I think it's called "Rainbows"?

It's a shame but the pub is out of place now, it'd do a lot better if it was rotated 180 degrees and faced the station square.
