Can't just replace that talent with the click of a finger

Haha , still a player of his presence and ability will not be easy to replace , I think we can get somebody in of course , wether they will be as good is a different matter

Now that the transfer window is closed, we know roughly what squad we have for the rest of the season (or at least 'til January depending on how you look at it).

So, where do you think our final position in the league will be? I'm going pretty much slap bang in the middle: 13th

Depends on the success of the forward line. If it misfires we could be in trouble but if not we will be top 10.

It's not the winning, it's the taking part.

16th. Results pick up during autumn and towards Christmas; everyone gets excited and then we don't win again until March.

Latest odds on skybet

66/1 to win the league
33/1 top 2 finish
16/1 to win promotion
13/2 to get top 6
1/12 to finish outside the top 6
15/8 to finish top half
2/5 on bottom half finish
11/4 to get relegated

Well worth getting money on now if you genuinely think top 6 and promotion

Appreciate this is against the grain, but Stevenson has offered more than McCann in my opinion.

Ready made replacement, plus Bigi is more than capable of stepping up.

Midtable. Somewhere between 8th and 17th. Hard to really tell at the moment. Our habit of changing the entire starting 11 each season makes pre season predictions useless.

at least the great great great great great great grand kids will have something to smile about.

I'm resigned to have nothing else major to celebrate with ccfc in my lifetime.

I wonder if we will still be in Cov then - renting from Wasps?
We might have saved enough for our own ground...
Prediction - realistically, 9th, but still hoping for an unbeaten run from September through until April and finishing first!

Being the saddo that I am, and based on the wisdom of crowds, predictions so far (where specific finish places have been stated) average out at 11th. Seems about right to me.

Can't see his budget being outside the top 6 but you keep banging on.

Oh he's paid to over achieve by the way. That's why we invested in him and his back room team.

We must be there or there abouts ?

Which of these do you think we have a higher budget than ?

Bolton, Bradford, Millwall, Charlton, Peterborough, MK Dons, Wallsall, Sheff Utd

I cant see us being any lower than 9th best budget, and we could be as high as the 6th in my opinion

It's a very valid point. We brought him to buck the trend and overachieve.

The whole point is he is supposed to be a really good manager who can bring out the best in players.

Yep, unless you are one of the big clubs where it is expected that you will win the league or be top 3.

Pretty much every manager is brought in to try and do better than the previous one.

Trouble is he likes to run through about 40 of them in a season, completely destabilising the team on the day !

Interesting, around the middle on average.

I do find it funny how many posters on this site who are usually quick to shoot others down have read this thread and not wanted to pin their colours to the mast.
