Where should the fine go? (1 Viewer)

Surely talk of the Premier League clubs sharing Man City's proposed 50M fine is bonkers. Should be distributed amongst the lower league clubs who need the support much more than the Prem League clubs?

It will be a lovely bonus for the FIFA delegates who are more corrupt than Paul Appleton. Money always talks.

I'm fine. I go to Blackpool sometimes.

The club should have been sanctioned for this and lost the ability to reap rewards because they have the money to couldn't care less.
What kind of sanction I'm not sure but perhaps the ability to field players a certain amount of times in a season would have been a better punishment.

Take the money and distribute it according to who was most underneath the FFP target for their division. So the clubs that spent the least (relatively) on wage, get the most back.

Or take the lot and invest it in grassroots football, as that's the real victim here.

You'd like to think that the fine will be distributed to the Lower Leagues and Grassroots Football... But I doubt it will happen..

I hope it goes to the FL to help promote football in the local community.

We could then argue for some of it to get CCFC back to its local community

It should go to the clubs that they beat. It's not just the money that should be a deterrent, if it goes to their opponents then it'll show you have to use more than large wheelbarrows full of your billionaire owners cash to get success.

Any fan could agree, but ask a Blackburn, Huddersfield, and to some degree Wolves fans what happens when the money runs out. At least the FA are wise to this, and are trying to keep the Prem as it is although you'll always have the big teams at the top.

Continual dominance must get boring after a while, as a kid I used to enjoy playing a computer game but found it got boring once you installed a cheat and couldn't loose. Club's should thrive on their own merit, instead of who has the most money.

If the fine is to be used then on grassroots football and training more coaches would be best, why give it to the league clubs so they can start overpaying the players again hopefully within a couple of years the salaries below the top leagues will calm down anything more than 3k a week in league one is way over the top.
