Also apparently the SAG can override the minimum in the FA Cup. So we could just provide 3k max and say we can’t have more safely.

Not solely SAG, it will be based on risk intelligence from DFO's, clubs, and other relevant information etc

This. - would mean they cannot clap. Also: Stronger and better home support = fortress Cov .

There are caveats to these figures, if a club makes representation to EFL etc, to reduce allocation for a particular fixture, possibly based on risk intelligence or for a specific period of time.

it's every single game for leeds, boro and other teams though

EFL regulations 35.3.1 for reference.

that says this

"Each Club must make provision for at least 2,000 visiting supporters at every home match or such number as represents 10% of the Club’s certified capacity, if less than 2,000. The League may, on the prior written application of a Club, suspend this Regulation or reduce the figure either for a particular League Match or for a period of time. Each Club shall, subject to any dispensations granted by the Board, make provision for at least 200 of the visiting supporters (of which not less than 100 must be seats) to be accommodated under cover. Any Club which fails to meet the requirement of 200 visiting supporters being accommodated under cover and which does not have a dispensation granted by the Board shall have such amounts as the Board shall determine (in its absolute discretion) withheld from that Club’s central distributions from the Pool Account until such time as the Club can meet the requirement."

that reads like we have to give 2000 tickets or 10% of the capacity if 10% was less than 2000

i.e. we would give 2000 but some who played in a stadium that held 15000 give 1500

10% EFL, 15% FA Cup

That’s wrong. The EFL rule is a minimum of 2000. The 10% applies where maximum capacity is less than 20,000, so for Luton would have been approximately 1,100.

If our ground had been designed a bit differently, we could have stuck the away fans high like they do at Newcastle .

That may happen on day. Except they’d be below the cov fans. It can’t be too hard to do that. Ok, lose some carpark but does a few quid per car really make a difference?

If we have to give them 10%, which it looks like we don't, it should be 10% of capacity after segregation areas have been taken off & not of full capacity.
