Can't recall if i read it in the telegraph , or if it was on the radio but it kind of hinted that as he hadn't had chance to train with the team, Bell would probably get the nod for a midfield place. Now i thought Bell had a good half against Boro at home, but in my view, if we are going to get someone on loan from a team like Man Utd, you play them every game. Has to be better than most of the players (if not all) in our squad.
Easy to deduce...do a count today...how many of Sammy's passes to teammate..or not. Bet it is more like 80/20
Only fair to do the same for all our players though.
If those 80% that are sideways go to a cov player then it's fine. It's good to have someone playing that role in the team. It only works though if the other players are the ones we rely on to 'make things happen'.
Well Norwood is behind Sammy for a NI place, and maybe if Sammy's cracking effort had gone in on Tues, people who once hailed him as irreplaceable in our squad would cut him a bit of slack? He's easily our best passer.
