You're right it would be a disaster. ACL were/are loss making, wasps were/are loss making, and the football club is loss making, you're massively increasing the risks and wasps owners don't have the money. Then there's the conflicting aims - wasps want to be the biggest club in Europe and that means maximising revenues going into the rugby club, they won't want to divert funds or focus away from them.Worked really well for them at QPR.

Even if it could fit in, I would expect the opposition from residents to be so vociferous that a compromise would be made anyway and it would be a much reduced capacity, if allowed at all.
There can be a fair bit of snobbery with some Earlsdonites and see rugby as respectable and decent and football being followed by riff raff.

Unfortunately LAST thats not gonna happen, the wasps academy moving their and more importantly the swiming pool which will see the cat 2 statutory requirement of an indoor pitch removed is pretty much a done deal. Is all part of the councils sports strategy to have a pool in each area of the city and for the city to become a rugby city.I believe our biggest threat is losing the academy.
We need to secure a long term tenure.
Both sides need to start talking about this (If they already haven't ).
Or our club will struggle to survive in this shit league.
We need answers on this ASAP.......

I've liked a few of your posts lately, sadly this isn't one of them. If you're happy with a 15k capacity stadium, then whoopdee doo. I, and lot of others aren't. John Sharpe insists 25k(This should be the minimum) is too big, and being the major owner of the BPA. I don't think Joy Sepalla will persuade him to build otherwiseNo, some just don't see that as the over riding priority.
Interesting .Over the next 4 years SISU will further cut costs, attendances will drop to 7,000, and we will be lucky to survive in L1. TF and CA will be long gone in 4 years time but Joy will still be running things in the background.
In year 5 or 6, Wasps will find themselves in financial meltdown and the cost cutting will see Wasps being relegated. The council then faces the prospect of the Ricoh becoming a white elephant.
CCFC move back into the Ricoh for an absolute bargain and SISU will then sell to new owners.
Finally we will get promoted in year 7.

The financial pressure building from our continuation at this level naturally bring financial pressures, the fractious nature of our relationships, coupled with Northampton and the arrival of Wasps are all considerations too.
For me the overriding factor is TM's reluctance to go the path of Pressley, prefering to bring in Young Prem talent over ours.
We all assume it's folly to not continue as we have, however signing players like Jodi and hopefully others rejected at Prem level coming from higher level academies such as Ruben may be preferable to what we are capable of attracting into ours and still generate transfer incomes.
I gather but haven't read the CA interview where he lamented the difficulties around this and played the victim card, yet in his CWR interview possibly the last phone in he seemed very Laise faire about this, I even remarked at that point I thought it was odd. It's easy to blame everyone one else on this but a closer look may be telling, as I sensed a change coming.

How many on this forum would be happy with a 15k Maximum gate simple as that. Anyone that is happy with it has not the slightest intentions of moving this Football Club any further than Championship aspirations.
