I'm picturing some kind of futuristic 70's Sci-fi movie.

Soundtrack: A haunting Vangelis symphony.
Scene: Somewhere in the far, distant future..wild winds blow over a blasted, desolate plane beneath rust coloured skies. At a deserted Pod, a long-abandoned VDU screen flickers with the message: "Coventry City FC have submitted their accounts and are now no longer under transfer embargo".

Halfway through the season, 'We need more players!'.

End of the season, 'It should of been more than one signing!'.
