When we DO have to sell somebody....

Please can we get the price right. Benik Afobe has just been sold to Bournemouth for about £10M. Now that we are breaking even, Please can we at least please get the market value (or above) for any body departing (after the Wilson debacle). Thank You !

Think having TM will help.He will know the true value of the players & won't be pushed around.

Can we cross this bridge when we have to go over it? Let's enjoy what we have, whilst we have and maybe think about extending contracts if we get promoted...

Just 3 times? I think you could add at least one zero onto that...

Losing fleck at this stage would be a huge mistake IMO.Gives to much to the team the whole dynamic changes when he doesn't play.Would rather lose him for nothing in the summer than a few quid now-and then bring in an adequate replacement.Cant believe I'm saying this, but I think the team would cope with the loss of any other player more.Inc Maddison

He had a release clause in his contract and Leicester paid that amazing how these other clubs find out about the value of the release clause in contracts.

It's an agents jobs to get the best deal for a player possible and to further their career. Despite what fans might think, footballer actually see agents as essential and have a lot more time for them than the fans.

indeed, I think Bournemouth tried a few attempts to sign him last year while they were still in the Championship, upwards of £5mil, if I remember correctly.

It is amazing how far down the pyramid the agents work as well my nephew plays in the Evostick and is just about to sign with an agent.

Why do we HAVE to sell anybody ? TM has a budget and is working with and still has a bit left to work with if we can keep the lot we have four months left of the season and you never know what could happen injury wise.

Why do you suggest it was a debacle. Are you privy to the deal they agreed with Bournemouth. My understanding is that all at CCFC are very happy with the deal. The only negative has been Wilsons injury this season as it has delayed some of the performance related bonuses.

You mean SISU were very happy with the deal. It meant that they didn't have to dig as deep in their own pockets as they otherwise would have had to to cover the losses from their own idiotic decision to hold the club for ransom in Northampton.

Maybe debacle was not the correct word, but it rankles me that we have consistently undervalued our players, whereas other clubs seem able to extort much higher fees for some of their players. As for 'all CCFC' - who is that exactly? (it doesn't include me !) Anyway, as you say, i'm not privy to the details. Do you know anything about the add ons etc(not having a dig, serious question) - as I can't be bothered to trawl the forum looking for previous rumours'. Finally, for the record, I don't want us to be selling either Fleck or JM anytime soon.

If Fleck doesn't want to sign a new contract then we'd be better off selling h for a fee.

A caller on the phone ins last friday said that Fleck would be mad to want to move as hes settled here and under TM & MV we are on the up! Can't see Fleck going. As for Maddison I too think he will stay. Sisu would shoot themselves in the foot if they let him go so early on in his career. His value will only rise.
