I see other teams go down to 10 and still go on to win.

Maybe it's just an illusion, but it seems that we really suffer once we lose a player to an early bath.

Must be something more recent.

And I don't think you can count anything where someone has been sent off in the last couple of mins with the game already won.

Seen lots of capitulations once losing a man. Can't remember the last time we went down to 10 with plenty of time on the clock and went on to win.

Right. So a fair while ago then.

Yes, back in the day, when we were trying to have a competitive team. Some people will wonder whether that is a fairy tale now given the current policy of flog anything and replace with old or inexperienced.

When the line is trotted out regarding 10 men being harder to beat then eleven I wonder why some teams don't start with 10 to give themselves an advantage.

Dunno Otis. I recall we played Notts Forest years ago (think it was them) at HR...they had TWO sent off and we still couldn't beat them.

The stats will obviously point to the 11 men having the advantage.

I was merely asking when was the last time we won with 10 men. You hear of others clubs winning and I just can't recall when we last did it.

In fact, we tend to capitulate.

I don't think 10 men are harder to beat, but they can be harder to break down, as they tend to go very defensive.

I remember us playing Everton at HR and Bob Latchford scored a hat trick ...and they had only 10 men

Bloody hell!!! We not won a game for 17 years?

No wonder angry people are coming on to the pitch with smoking bombs.

Was that the one where Clarke on loan from Everton I think got sent off In the first minute, they missed a pen & mcsheffery scored a pen for us?

There's surely gotta be a match where we were winning and had a man sent off in the last few minutes which didn't matter.

Can't believe that Cardiff match is the last time.

It has to be Cardiff away? Probably the best away game ever.

At least two of our team are only worth half a man so we are already doing it.
