Seriously, 11 corners today and none that threatened to produce a goal. Come to think of it, I cant recall the last time we scored from a corner. We seem to drop the ball on the penalty spot every time and never seem to vary it

I would play short corners because our direct ones never do any damage

It doesn’t help that a bit of pushing before and the ref gives a free kick to the opposition even if they foul us, as soon as the ref has made comment of the pushing don’t give him the opportunity of a cheap free kick take a short one.

Corners in general arent the attacking threat they used to be all across the board.

Ever since referees 6 or 7 years or so back were given the go ahead to blow for any sort of physicality in the 6 yard box and give a foul, the corner kick has died a death

Unless you are Arsenal.

Have they moved the penalty spot inside the 6 yard box. We rarely hit the ball that far out especially when Rudoni takes it.

Doesn’t help that Bobby Thomas keeps shoving his marker out the way. Referees can’t wait to give a foul.

I bought the book by the American who was on our board when SISU were here about the analysis of matches. Yes, I am that sad. He thought it was unusual that English fans all cheered when their team got a corner. He qualified that by saying almost all corners do not result in a goal.
I know some on here wont accept it, but I believe Norwich appeared more rattled at corners when Simms came on.

It worked last year on at least 4 occasions.

We certainly don't vary them enough.
