...and some thought League 1 was the end of the world.

Thorn lover or Thorn hater
SISU sympathiser or SISU OUT brigade

We are all City fans...and this season could be the best in many a year. We're finally talking Skyblue football with varying degrees of positivity.

Crucial to get off to a good start though...

last time there was a buzz? I remember being full of hope the first season we were in the championship - could not wait for the season to start, how we were going to show the rest of the teams what a superior sqad we had, win most of our games and go straight back up to the promised land. The rest is history.

There does seem to be a buzz about and i'm yet to understand why. Yes we've signed some players but none fill me with any kind of confidence.

I will be. I support my team regardless of the owners and I'm looking forward to this season, we have made some decent signings.

Couldn't agree more. We need to get fast out the blocks but, more than anything else, we need to show a high level of consistency.

I don't get this, surely it is about football rather than politics?

I'd be in a mood too if I had to live in Bulkington.

Then why concern yourself with posting bile on positive threads. In fact why bother posting at all if your not interested in the club anymore.

no, its not about football for sisu, they couldnt care less about the playing side, they just want as much gate receipts and club shop spending as possible to try and manage their losses, they wont invest in the team, only free transfers on league 1 wages, and always more going out than in, and they wont be getting any of mine or several friends and family members money i can assure u

So? Coventry are my club, nothing will stop me going to see them. They're shit owners, so what? If there's a time when the team needs us it's now - we need to bounce straight back and we need as much support as possible. Fair enough if you're going to cry off but I think the severe lack of support last season and the season before has shown a) it doesn't help the team in the slightest and b) SISU are still here.

And by the way, getting signings in on L1 wages?! We ARE L1!! Surely that's got to be acceptable!

Torch, sisu couldn't give a toss about the playing side, the outs still outweigh the ins. Have they spent any money on players this close season? Who took us to league 1 cos of their pathetic cost cutting? I don't get the anti thorn mob either, they slate thorn like mad but who employed him? Shitty sisu.

All i can say is they were illadvice by the orange one cut to quick and not adding players at least they seem to be trying this season just wish they had done more last season but you can't change the past. pusb

Theres some miserable f*ckers on here who will never be happy. The signings may not have cost much (if anything) but Thorns not got a bad record of spotting players so fingers crossed. Remember they dont have to be players to challenge in the Championship but League 1. So until we see them (and the rest of the team) against League 1 opposition lets not pass judgement.

Its good that its not all doom and gloom and theres a touch of optimism. Just looking forward to seeing some new players (who arent just all kids) play.

well its been difficult up until last week other than to be depressed by CCFC but the signings are good news ..... a positive step in the right direction.

It would be quite wrong to pass judgement on any of the signings until we have seen them play a few games ..... take it for what it is good news

Equally though i wouldnt get carried away either because as it stands right now the coming season is going to be a tough one.

BUT isnt it good to be at least looking at things more positively and talking football !
