Nick may come across as a little sympathetic sometimes but lets be fair to the guy, he has a difficult time keeping this place going while also pretending not to be one of the lizard overlords controlling your mind.

I was going to reveal I am really Simon from the Telegraph, but I think it might blow people's minds.

I'd much 5 prefer reasons why SISU, ACL, Wasps, CCC, Dhinsa, Gary Hoffman and Bryan Richardson are all c*nts... 5 reasons for each one in fact.

Thought your piece on the 'man loses hat in Radford' story last week was another excellent Telegraph exclusive. Keep up the good work Simon.

I'll add this to the reader's reactions.

Although, somebody did actually tell me they were told the "rumour" in the original OP at a game once. Quite entertaining!

Here's an exclusive extract:

A man in Radford lost his hat today. The man Peter Smith who is 39 was on the way to the bus stop to get the next bus into town.
"It was my birthday at the weekend and I was given a WH Smith voucher by my Mum. I thought I would spend it on the excellent book, "Coventry City: A Club Without A Home: The Fight Behind The Sky Blues' Return From Exile". Oh, the ISBN is: 1785312103 and it's available from all good book stockists, priced at a competitive £12.99, would make an ideal Christmas present. Anyway, it was a windy day, you see..."

Oddly, I also found this story from a lady in Stoke who had left her car running to defrost it one day last week...

"I had only left the car, an Audi A3, running for a couple of moments. It was a very frosty morning, so I went out and started the engine and put the heater on. I thought I would just pop in the house for five minutes to read a little from "Coventry City: A Club Without A Home: The Fight Behind The Sky Blues' Return From Exile", an excellent book, ISBN 1785312103. It is available from all good book stockists, priced at a competitive £12.99, and would make an ideal Christmas present. I was just looking at thephoto of the absolute dream of an author when I heard my car reversing off the drive...."

£12.99?

https://wordery.com/coventry-city-a-club-without-a-home-simon-gilbert-9781785312106

Would SISU pay much for running a forum for them? I should invoice them with back pay!

Why wouldn't it be here?

I was on the Telegraph website for years and it was shutting down (Torchy, Malaka and Moff can confirm that, I helped run it with them ). Same time "Smithers" was in charge of it before he moved to Milton Keynes I think for a new job. I also made another CCFC website before SISU came in, but the less said about that the better (it had Ellery Cairo in the header).

I also ran a SoccerAM forum and a car forum for a bit

This is the best "rumour" of the bunch though It's usually pulled out by somebody who has been told it by somebody to try and discredit things

Is anyone else getting sick of Milton Keynes.
first it's MK dons, now it's MK Smithers.
Where and when will it ever end,
I blame Mr Burns.

Were you ever involved on the forum attached to the club website? Back in the day obviously....

That website came a cropper after the club tried to sue Nev from GMK.

It was pointed out that they'd have to sue themselves, as the club forum contained *far* more offensive comments towards the board than anything GMK could muster...

It wouldn't surprise me, while I've got "Simon's" ear, can I point out its at least 5 degrees warmer than yesterday, the CT forecast the worst winter since 1947 last month.

I hope they don't make things up.

I'm sure the site will still be here long after SISU have gone. What will be interesting is to see which posters aren't.
