I'd assume he volunteered for the penalty seeing himself able to have the exit as a hero. Did anybody (including him!) think he'd score though?Yeah, he didn’t deserve to sign off his city career with that. Injuries have just taken their toll but nobody could ever question his commitment to the club
Not even close relegation is far far worse. Another shit defeat watching a bunch of nobodies who don’t care is worst. Seeing a great team give their all and come as close as you can isn’t close.
