Scored the best Coventry goal I have ever seen. From the half way line against Burnley.

Ernie was a grave digger at one point before his career took off.

Ernie is a brilliant guy. He used to run a pub in Ledbury called the Full Pitcher. We would call in when in the area, usually on the way back from Bristol City. He would hold court all night with his stories and gags, often wearing an outrageous Beatle-style wig. He loved reminiscing with City fans and the beer would always be free-flowing. One of the game's true characters. Happy Birthday, Ernie.

I like the Tramline better but it is a nice kit. I would like to see us play in something just as simple in Sky Blue in the future.

Fully agree Torch. Would love to see us in the tramline kit again with the red version as the away kit and even the brown as a third kit. Much better than the meaningless wishy washy bullocks we have today

One of my favourite players. He didn't have pace, he couldn't tackle but he had a game that was clever and intimidated opposition. Scored some crackers.

Yellow tramline kit? Don't remember that one Bob, must be going senile. Also liked the green and black striped kit from the 70's, very classy imo.

That has to be the biggest anti climax to a punchline in a long time ISB. Shame he wasn't a space cadet after leaving school.

It didn't get many airings but didn't we wear it in the second leg tie at West Ham, league cup semi 1981?

He always made a joke of it by saying in interviews how he would look in the deaths column of the local Swindon paper to see how business was doing! I think It was both him and Mike Summerbee who were grave diggers.
