I vaguely remember the cup final but i was only 5..... biggest memory is all the cars with blue ribbons on their aerials for what seemed like years.

Started "following" City in probably the very late 80's, but my first game was Ipswich at home in Dec 92. First away game Villa early 97.

Had season tickets on/off in the Premier League down to 3rd division (including Northampton), and was still going home/away in the 4th.

Our rise back through the divisions has co-incided with my own sporting commitments ramping up a lot, so i feel like i've done the hard miles through the bad times, and missed a lot of the last few years, and rarely go at all now (a combination of my own sports commitments and not having enough loyalty points)

My first season ticket was the year we came down from the Premier League. Watching us go all the way down and back is going to be so satisfying!

My first league game was Southampton in 1978. Massive win, Ian Wallace hat-trick. My 8 year old self thought it was always going to be as rosy as this. The last 48 years have proved otherwise!🤣

Last game of the 95-96 season for me! Cov 0-0 Leeds

We needed a draw at least to stay up, was with my dad in the main stand and remember everyone on the pitch at full time!

Season ticket holder from the next year - didnt realise enough how good we had it then! And when we went down I never thought it would be 25 years before we got back!

My first game was in 1983, we stuffed Liverpool 4-0. Terry Gibson hat trick i have been hooked ever since, went to FA cup final and was also at villa park when we got relegated from the Premier League. 25 years later i can't believe we are almost back, been some really hard times but no one can ever say that us city fans arent loyal and we deserve our time back in the bright lights.

Early-Mid 1980s - my Dad's firm had one of the pitch-level boxes, which were nigh-on impossible to see any actual football.
First game not in a box was the 1985 escape from relegation against Everton.
First game without my Dad - Chelsea 1991.

My first match was Blues at home in October 1972, my 7th birthday. The first game I really remember is the infamous Bristol City 2-2 in May 1977.

Started going away from home every now and then in the 77/78 season. Started going to all home and majority of away from 1982/83 season. Never stopped.

My son's first game was the Blues' friendly at the Ricoh. He was about 3/4. Again, he has never stopped.

Started 1952 in Div 3 (South). 74 years ago. Highlights Beating Wolves to get promoted to the top flight after being 0-1 down at half time.. won 3-1. And 1987 winning the FA Cup. Hopefully 2026 can be added .

1986 I started going to games. In my first season we were up the top end of the league, won the FA Cup and the Youth Cup. All the talk from those in charge was how we were going to push on from there and challenge for more honours.

Didn't quite work out like that.

Looking back its crazy to think in the early days of the Premier League I was at uni near London and would just turn up to Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea etc and pay on the gate. Never even crossed my mind to buy a ticket in advance. Be very different next season!

1983/84 was taken to highfield road by my dad and that was it .
Plenty of ups and downs since and sadly he's no longer with us , but he would be loving the position we are in

First season ticket was 03 season when a schoolmates family would take me (mine not into football!) Been a ST holder ever since.

Possibly the most unsuccessful timeline to be a fan of any club. Relegations, ground moves, no top 6 finishes and barely even a play off challenge until I was in my mid 20’s. Bleak.

First game was Sheff Wed February 1968 and Neil Martin scored a hat trick in a 3-0 win - a rare high point in an otherwise forgettable season. Feel sorry for my son as first game was v Colchester in FA cup 2004 which was a 1-1 draw and they lost the replay. Poor lad has stuck with them since coming with me to places like Crawley, Barnet and Stevenage and at last hopefully he gets to experience top flight football next year, something I thankfully had 34 years of.

1981-82. Best years of watching the Club by far have been on the journey back from L2. The passion of the fans and connection with the fans and team is light years away from the Premier League days. Some of the best moments have been in celebrating wins at the end of games - numerous examples including Notts County, Wolves, Blackburn, Middlesborough, last week-end and many games at home. And don't get me started on Hamer's goal at Wembley. In terms of the CBS the game vs. Birmingham as we moved towards the play offs that year was off the charts - must have been a 15 minute Twist & Shout around all corners of the ground. Lifetime memories.

First game was in Everton at home 3-0 win in 1998, but was too young to really remember much of the Premier League, so it had been pretty much all downhill until the Mark Robins years.
What a line up -

Must have been late 60's in the old 1st Division but memory's not too good now!.
Some time later I was sitting in the main stand directly behind Ernie's donkey kick, that I can remember!

I am not sure now whether I was in the Kop or the West End for the Carr/Hunt freekick.

But it was definitely one of the two.

In fact, I am 90% certain I was in the Kop

1977/78 sat pitch side in front of the old hospitality boxes, spent most of the game leaning on the wall with eyes at pitch level. Season ticket pretty much through the 90s and 00s

Born 1990, Cant remember my first game but earliest memories are from around 97/98 seasons when we played Chelsea at home first game of the season two years on the spin. Remember the buzz of beating them because they had so many french players fresh off winning the world cup.

Was a JSB from around that time and can remember going to the football camps before the game then getting the bus from ullathorne to highfield road.

Season ticket holder pretty much from then up until now, didn't go to Northampton or Birmingham but still went to away games during that period.

Its been a hell of a ride

Born 1990.

Draw with Norwich in the league 92/93. 1-1 I think.

First game I properly remember though is when Hartson scored for Arsenal and we lost 1-0. This was 1995

Cov v Southampton. Dec 1989. Aged 8.

ST in the family stand as a teenager.

Moved away from Cov for Uni but came back whenever I could. I've been to 44 different grounds with Cov now. Increasingly difficult to get there with young family but still do what I can.

TSx
(Some might call me a cherry-picker - but I get bonus points because I've seen us win a Deepdale!)

66/67 season on my own (plus acouple of mates), aged 12!

60 long fucking years ago, and the 25 year wait to go back to the top table has ended. My lad was 30 last Friday and has never seen us in the Prem, we were talking about it and he said his lads (7 & 8 ) have only ever seen us on the up!!!!
How fucking mental is that?? the Wembley visits and winning L1, I'm just glad I'm still here to enjoy and celebrate it all with them all!!!
