When City Were Great . THis is a recently published book telling the story of the 1987 FA cup final in verse and illustration. THe title bears no reference to the current state of the club so there is no detriment intended. It merely tells about without question the greatest times in the club's history. We have just had a very successful three weeks at the Belgrade selling during the production of " We Love You City". The book will appeal to all ages as it will bring back those great memories and also as it is in verse it is easy for the kids to read, cracking illustrations by a Kenilworth artist. Steve Ogrizovic has kindly written the foreword, the book that is priced at just five pounds is also supporting Myton Hospice nurses appeal as 20% of profits will be donated to the charity. It can be bought from Waterstones Coventry and Leamington, the Herbert Art Gallery, Cov City shop, Lady Godiva news, Max Spielman and other outlets throughout the city. A reading on the book will take place at THe book festival in Broadgate on Saturday 16th June at 10.30. If anyone reading this post as already bought a copy the publishers would be most grateful for any comments. THankyou
