A lot of talk of relegation battles and Robins out. I’m honestly not sure how I feel on either, but interested to know when the judgement can be made? What is the sample size of matches? I’m tempted to say up to next international break, but it’s going to take some nerve to get there.

Nearly a quarter of the way through the season now.

It's obvious he has no clue how to change games or adjust depending on the opposition.

Will be an actual relegation battle if this carries on.

He's very lucky we beat Blackburn in the week else I think today would have been the day, just before the break.

Robins said we can’t afford another slow start but here we are. Been really poor all season.

It’s hard cause of what he’s done for us, I don’t personally want him gone but we need to be careful to not let nostalgia sleepwalk us into a really bad position.

It’s clear the talk from him and Doug was stupid at the start of the season. Don’t see how that could have helped anybody. Robins has created a rod for his own back and that pressure is telling.

He has no excuse for the poor start this season. No off the pitch nonsense or lack of pitch.

People just accept it because it's happened the last couple of seasons.

It might simply be the pressure of expectation. He’s never really had it before and it might just be too much.

Wouldn’t surprise me if King pulls the trigger now. Robins has no excuses.

He can’t motivate the team for whatever reason and tactically he is very poor. Why isn’t he able to a change formation or be more positive when we need to get a goal? Utterly bizarre.

A penny for his thoughts now. With the money spent it will take some nerve to hold off.

My faith in Robins would normally say give him the season, but at this rate it could be disastrous. Imagine relegation - our squad would be stripped bare.

I’d made the judgement along time ago. Not good enough…Simple as. Whether that falls on the players or the manager? I’m not sure.

Good half here and there doesn’t hide how shocking we’ve been this season and the back end of last season.

International break now, Preston next up. If we lose that and Robins is still here. I dread to think

Judgment is ongoing game by game. That’s football. Lots of absolute crap about how he should have “changed things” today. There only looked like one winner today and we were sucker punched at the end. There was no need to change it. We could be playing better but it’s fine margins costing us. Robins is safe as houses for me, and so he should be.

Are people watching different matches to us Nick? My mate came to the game with me, he’s a Liverpool fan - same view as me - Sheff Weds were much better

See where we are by mid December-Christmas. If we're still around the relegation zone - with our most expensive squad ever - you have to make the change and give the new manager January to get his type of players in.

Hindsight is a wonderful (and easy) thing. It’s a ridiculous trait of football fans that those on the bench or not selected suddenly acquire Messi status. Then, when played if something terribly minor goes wrong it’s them the screamers want hauled off.

I wouldn't sack Robbins but maybe move him upstairs? He deserves to remain at the club out of appreciation and loyalty in some capacity ?

Sunderland away before the next international break. Think that’s 6 more games.

If it stays as is then I think the plug will be pulled unfortunately.

If they do I hope they promote Boatang and give him til the the January window to see if the new coaching regime has any ideas.

Then if they don’t big Doug can admit he fucked up and appoint an outside manager and give him some dollar for the experienced midfielders and defenders we need.

I was talking about your comments. We were pedestrian for most of the game and there was an definite need to change shape. Many of us (and perhaps you included) are frustrated at the fact Robins seems completely incapable of reacting to what's happening in front of him.

The latter part of last season and the beginning of this is a reasonable sample size

Robins reacting is not our biggest issue. We’re far too easy to score against and concede lots of very poor goals. That’s the issue. It’s his issue, he’s the manager. Don’t disagree we need to change shape, we’re horribly exposed down the flanks but we should be starting like that, not reacting with it. Simms abject form means we can play Wright centrally now and get some solidity in the midfield.

Not sure if it’s him or the other coaches. But that’s why I want them exposed if MR goes.

We ain’t getting rid of the players, the manager will carry the can. So if Doug does pull the trigger let’s see his new boys step up.

I don’t see what achieves to be honest.

The reality is that the team hasn’t been improved from last season outside of the forwards. The defence and midfield is exactly the same. In the meantime, we’re actually down 2 players in terms of headcount because Kelly and Palmer haven’t been replaced. They’re not key players but it’s putting more stress on Eccles, Sheaf and Rudoni. To top it off, we have next to no experience in this squad to support the team through this rough patch.

January, the recruitment team needs address this because a new manager won’t do much without addressing a leaky defence and flaccid midfield.

If we’re in serious danger of relegation by Xmas, perhaps the conversation is different.

It’s getting harder to defend his position with each performance, but he is not the only one responsible. Some of these players are just not performing even allowing for questionable decisions above.
