What Are Your Match Day Costs

just curious as to know what you spend on match days, I've been trying to figure out how much it will cost when I get a season ticket next year, These are rough estimates, I like a drink on match days, and spending money if I stay in Cov includes going out in the evening. Curious to know how far people come and what they manage to spend

Staying in Cov on my own -

Home to Lynn bus - £10 return
Lynn to Peterborough bus - £12 return
Peterborough to Cov train - £45.80 return
Premier Inn - £40
Spending Money - £80

= £190 per game
= £4370 per season

Staying at Cov with a friend -

Travel - £70
Room - £20
Spending Money - £75

= £165
= £3795 per season

With a friend Driving -

Their ticket - £25
Spending money - £50
Parking - £10

= £85
= £1955 per season

Driving Myself -

Diesel - £40
Spending Money - £20
Parking - £10

= £70
= £1610 per season

About £40 in petrol
£3 to park
cost of the ticket
if it's winter I might even stretch to a cuppa

don't spend anymore on F&B, stop off at the parents on the way there and back and its free!

Usually pretty cheap for home games when you take the season ticket price out of it. A mate usually drives us lot and parks in tesco. Few cans in the car and sometimes one or two in the casino.

Away games on the other hand can cost a fortune. Travel and ticket prices are usually extreme and that's without the beer...

Ticket and programme and a bit of petrol......not one for F&B unless it is an away game. I prefer going for a drink after the game than before.

Bit of petrol as coming from Warwick
£5 parking
£3 programme
£4 coffees

We take a bag with stuff to eat from home as it's cheaper. Personally, I can't watch a football match without a packet of Fruit Gums.

Forgot about away games. We tend to do 7 or 8 a season as my lad loves going to different grounds.

ChiefDave...are you going on Saturday? I'm driving up from the Portsmouth area and so long as you're not an axe murderer, happy to offer a lift (to split petrol costs)?

Unfortunately not, I'm working in London this weekend. I planned which weekends I'd work when we were at Sixfields so I've not managed to get to a lot of home games this year. Thanks for the offer anyway.

-Season Ticket Cost
-About £20-£30 on beer per home game
-My mate drives and we split the car park £2.50 each

I'll do on average 10 away games per season, roughly works out about £100 per away day

Got a seaston ticket. Think that was £360.

A lot of matches I walk, so that costs me nothing and when I use the car I would guess it is probably only about 4 1/2 mile round trip, so pennies.

I never buy anything in the ground. Never, ever have, here or HR.

Generally I just buy a couple of Cokes at the ground plus maybe a couple in the casino (Hypoglycaemic so need to drink a lot of it!).

I've listed the cost of an adult ticket along with other stats for each game I've been to this season. It's at various levels of the game and shows that although the majority are relatively cheap it soon mounts up. https://cjcovblaze.wordpress.com/2015/04/12/my-2014-15-football-season/

Home Game - Bus £4 or mate drives
Ticket - £22-25 Do not have a season ticket anymore.
Beers -£20
Food - £5

Away Game

Ticket - £18-25
Train - Varies on Destination usually brought in advance
Spending money for food and drinks = £70-£100 - London game = more.

All in all - Its always more expensive for away games but they are way better than home games.

Hope the wife doesn't read this

Home game

Fuel £50/£80 depending on which car I use.
Hotel £60 average.
Beer/food £100 average for all day/night session
Ticket up to £25

Away game same as above but add average £15 for supporters coach. I normally travel to Coventry for away games even if I pass where we are playing on the way.
