Almost certainly not going to be that much activity. Feel like we need a more sustained overhaul of the squad in the summer, even down to the calibre of u23s available to cover first team squad.

Agree with all that, although I doubt we will have any takers for most of those players.

We probably do need another James type player. Hamer, sheaf and O'Hare are good players but there is very little cover for them and we need more experience in the midfield area.

Why is Drysdale deadwood he was injured for the first three months of the season, might need a loan out but to class him as deadwood is a bit harsh.

Get rid of some of the fringe players to lower leagues, keep Hamer, get in either a half decent LWB or 10 cover. I think that’s about the best we can hope for.

If we're going to worry the playoffs I feel like we need to fluke an old pro coming in for free and doing a Wisey. Can't see money being spent also no idea who it might be.

Define budget constraints. I’d like to think we can find some cash for loans, if so:

Out: The usual list of deadwood (anyone over 23 who hasn’t played this season)

In: CM, AM, ST, Hamer and O’Hare staying.

I’m actually OK with not signing players in Jan if we don’t sell anyone. But we need 7/8 players in the summer, 4/5 of a similar quality to what we got in this season and a couple that improve the depth of the squad in key areas: CB, LCB, LCB, LWB, LWB, CM, AM and a ST.

Attacking midfielder such as scott twine or (more likely) someone in on loan from a mid table pl club
LWB loan (especially if maatsen goes obviously)
And CM cover (again especially if hamer goes) - we need someone with a bit of consistency and versatility - maybe a pl loan who can play as a 6 or as a 10?

Yeah ideal world we get someone in who can play either Hamers role or O’Hares.
