On TM saying to Anderson and Sisu fook off Im going to the Villa. He clearly has not got the ability to spend fook all and continue to build and find gems within the dross of lower leagues and decent young players either say no Im off or Maddison etc are sold before the end of the season.
He doesnt need this shit so dont be suprised if he gets a call and has a few quid to spend up the road. We continue to try and run on a shoe string and all this bollocks about 5th best budget cuts nothing. We were in a fine position at Christmas and a few million could of kept us in the fight. We could have Villa, Wolves and Forest etc next year and would more than get that back on gate revenue but no lets stay as we are and continue to piss in the wind again in true fashion.

What is the big deal with Mowbray? Why would Villa hire him? I would love it if he said that to Anderson!

That's the thing, he isn't in a position to do that. People still talking like he's a tactical genius and we have won every game.

There are lots of managers with experience who would be in front of him in the queue.

Had he still been in contention at the play off stage yes but now no. He has to prove he can repair what went wrong.

Why on earth would Villa appoint Mowbray?

Spend a few million quid? Are you fucking insane? What happened the last time we spent money we didn't have, oh yeah we were nearly liquidated.

There was fuck all wrong with the squad around Christmas, competition for places in every area of the field and everyone kept saying its one of, if not the best squad in the league. Mowbray is the sole reason we are lying in the bottom half now, his constant changes to the team, him bringing In utter shite like Hunt, Ramage and Henderson when they weren't needed just completely disrupted what looked like a good season for us.

Villa will be looking to bounce back immediately. Why would they even consider hiring Mowbray?

There was a lot wrong with the squad around Christmas, with only 4 fit defenders? Two of them being phillips and Haynes?

Would love Pearson here. If only he had got the job at Cov rather than Coleman, hoe different things could have been. Still, the fans were outraged at the thought of the Newcastle number 2 getting, and got their man Coleman.

They weren't long term injuries though.

Well we are playing like Villa at the moment. But still a ridiculous hypothetical question.

Martin 8 weeks
Lorentzson 8 weeks
Reda and turner end of season
Willis only just returning to fitness

Would say they were all long term injuries in defence

Reda was always going to get injured, he hasn't managed half a season in 6-7 years

And turner was going be recalled anyway.

The only unfortunate defensive injuries was Martin and Willis

Doesn't mean we had a good squad does it? And nobody could have predicted reda's injury .
Turner was due to have another 3/4 matches with us though? And we could have possibly extended the loan

No Sean Morrison went off injured in Cardiff's game (Friday night match) and Slade was considering a recall for Turner who then got injured the very next day. I think its safe to assume he would have been recalled had he not got injured. Turner had only ever come to get fit.

People are pointing at the defensive injuries as a reason for us falling like a stone, but the truth is we're not letting anymore goals (1.13 per game) in as we were in the first 18 games (1.06 per game) when we were top of the league, its creating and scoring goals that has been the issue (ave 2 goals per game in the first 18, vs ave 1 goal per game in the last 23)

Fair enough, didn't see Morrison had got injured at the time. But that's still only 1/5 of the injuries.
Well I think its more the fact that we had to bring in players to fill in, instead of boosting the attack in january, in order to give Armstrong a rest and take some of the burden off

Whilst that's a valid point, maddison coming back was supposed to be like a new signing (yes hasn't worked out that way), he also could have sent bigi back to free up another loan slot - he'd signed Rose after all, then the hunt signing is just odd, and Henderson seems to have been a waste too. You factor in those 3 (and ramage) then he would have wages and a loan space to bring in another striker. Some of this has been his choice.

Well not necessarily, I think Ramage was pure desperation. While we would still have had 5 loans (Cargill included). Don't think the Maddison argument goes, as he was unproven at this level still even with all his ricks?
Henderson and Hunt i agree, but maybe we were limited in our options? We couldn't bring in any loans, and i personally don't know any better free signings?

You could have predicted that he was going to snap the tendon that connects the muscle to bone could you?
What's the lottery numbers?

I think we could all predict Reda would get injured, not the precise injury. I was against signing him on again but got swayed by TM's arguments,

TM reckoned he could 'wrap him in cotton wool' and get a good season out of him, well he was wrong, he has to look elsewhere, Reda will not deliver more than a 1/2 season.

Yes I expected a muscle strain not what he got which was just unlucky, it could have happened to any player.
I'm not saying to resign him but I don't think Its a good argument against TM went it was pure bad luck
