I was on my way down to a Millwall v City match a few years back and someone had hand painted 'WEST HAM IS A C*NT' in what looked like white gloss, on a bridge over the motorway. Intentionally or not, It had us in stitches for ages.

Isn't it, what a strange breed, I can remember the police kept us all inside downstairs behind the stand, for about 45 minutes after the game. Then we all had to be escorted to the train station (like it or not) whilst Millwall loons threw shit at us and tried to attack the station.

At first glance I thought that read 'I've hate Man.U Puffs' which would have trumped mine by far.

going by soccer am's "away days" hasn't the new den got a barricaded walkway to the station purely for away fans? never been there myself.

I really don't understand millwall, how did they become the team to fear going to their ground? and how was it allowed to happen?

Dunfermline Athletic v Raith Rovers 3 years ago, the Dunfermline mascot, a bear wearing a cardboard box designed to look like a tank, walks onto the pitch and pretends to fire it at the Raith fans. That game also saw all the home fans where I was sat taking off their shoes and waving them at the away end to the tune of 'You've only got one shoe', which was supposed to be in honour of a dig at our own Steven Pressley who was then managing Falkirk.

One of the most bizarre games I've ever been to.

One I saw last week made me chuckle. After Liverpool went 3 nil up at Old Trafford the scousers unfurled a banner which had a picture of David Moyes and the words 'David Moyes - a football genius'.

I have no idea but it was one of the funniest chants I've ever seen. Not far behind was 'we put our cats in bins' from our own fans at Brighton a few years ago.

Know how to enjoy their football though, in the years I've spent up here I've never not had a decent time at a game.

watching is on SS is always a relieve from the diving and pathetic players in the prem/ la liga.

a red card tackle in the prem is equivalent to a play on in the scottish game

The football I find is about the same quality as you'd get in L1 but the atmosphere is so much better and heck even the food warms you up. The passion they've got for football is second to none and I include ourselves in that.

I never mentioned quality haha I fully agree. I suppose that's why many prem "fans" also watch lower leagues to see real football
