Seems to have vanished from the squad entirely. Injured? Fallen out with manager? Loss of form? Rested as too much too soon?

I actually thought he looked alright in his cameos. Nothing spectacular but...alright. And as his natural position is supposedly AM, it eems odd he's never been considered to voer there, and Howley's leapfrogged aboved him.

Where is he?

Thought he looked fantastic at LWB (at Watford) but not so convincing at RWB. Didn't help himself in the game against Wrexham in January and seems to have had limited options since then. Seen enough to think he would be an adequate back up for WB next season.

Is he an AM? I thought it was more defensive / full back?

Wasn't @SBchimp updating us about him when he was in Scotland on loan ? Without getting into "behind the scenes" gossip and therefore potential issues with the club, maybe he could give us a general idea ?

He's certainly been played in the defensive roles more than AM. I thought the same way but then Eccles can also play in multiple positions ??!!

And looking on Google, apart from the CovTel, the Offal and Transfermrkt, the only other results are for FIFA23, Football Manager and other gaming sites.

He got substituted at half time against Wigan and hasn't had a look in since, always seemed to have a steady game

I don’t think there’s anything going on behind the scenes or any reason other than just he’s 3rd choice RWB (possibly even 4th if you include Eccles).

Had a poor game against Wigan and was subbed at half time, since then Dabo has been back so it’s between him and BNC for the shirt.

He’s only started 5 games all season, and only 1 start since the New Year, so it’s not like he was a regular starter and suddenly dropped.

I think a loan would do him good next year (though utility players are handy to keep the squad around I suppose).

Surely if ever there was a thread made for Greggs this is it

I agree though, looked decent enough and got some much needed pace into the team

He surely was the biggest loser to our January window signings.
The two loan WB's have never been out of the squad despite some questionable performances. There is a strong suggestion that they have to play in games as part of their loan deals and so were put ahead of Jack somewhat unfairly.

He seems to have to really work at getting chances and gets shutdown very quickly if he has a bad game. Looking at some games, he was brilliant against Watford away when he made his debut and then didn't feature again for a few games. Leading up to his Wigan start he had a few sub appearances where he did well. Started at Wigan, taken off at half time and not seen again.
Dabo then takes over, was poor at Blackpool, starts the next game against Stoke, poor again and then comes off the bench next game. Maybe he just hasn't built any forgiveness levels yet, but doesn't seem to be judged in the same way as team mates he's in competition with.

We don't need to have 3 wing back on the bench, but as one who can cover both sides and is quick, I'd have him at least on the bench.

Sometimes MR does confuse me. He used to do it with Kane, Dabo would be blowing out his arse with 35 mins to go, and he'd not play Kane and then on Saturday he'd start Kane randomly out the blue. Does the same with Burroughs.

Thing with Burroughs is as well, as the poster above says, he was getting a good look in and then we recruited two new wing backs and didn't let Burroughs go out on loan so now he's sat not even getting u21 footy.

I'm sure there's a plan but sometimes I struggle to see the logic in it. We didn't allow Rus to play for Chorley yesterday due to 'loan conditions' and I imagine it's because we want him playing tomorrow against Alvechurch in the Birmingham Cup, again I can't see the logic in refusing him to play in a league game just so he can play against a team that Aidan Finnegan can't get in.

Asking his Old Man to comment on the situation on an open forum is poor form in my opinion.

If he was injured then Robins would have commented and if he has been dropped then what do you want his Dad to say?

Yeah let's face it, won't get any insight from him. If it's something juicy he'd be mad to say it, and if it's something mundane then we'd just assume it was something juicy and he was being sensible not to tell us

It is one of those weird situations, remember with the Kelly Evans? Think it was Dion at RB who would vanish for months then randomly start then vanish.

I don't think Burroughs really did much to warrant "vanishing". He could have been out on loan (unless he's injured)

There is probably some expectation from their parent club that the loanees get a bit of game time, and with both Dabo and Bidwell fit at the moment he's the fall guy.

I rate him. Would be happy to have him as backup next season and spend dabo/kane/cuffy wages on a new first choice RWB

Think he was pictured there yesterday so he's in the travelling squad, just not the playing squad.

Burroughs needs a season on loan playing every week. He’s not yet good enough to be a back up full back for a team with high end championship aspirations.

I reckon we will have a whole new backline when we kick-off next season regardless of what league it is.

I really rate him, he looked good technically, was strong and a confident forward runner - all great attributes for a WB, which is just one of his many positions I believe.

He’s a unit too, which is always helpful in what can be a physical league.

If he is going to be used sparingly like this year then he needs a year loan in L1, but I’m hoping he’ll end up as back up to a new LWB/RWB.

Travelled with the first team squad at the weekend - he was getting a work out on the pitch during the Robins post match interview.

Surely he can still play today if he's just been sat in the stand?
