Ok- lots of debate 4-5-1. 4-4-2 or 4-4-1-1.
What formation and what would YOUR team be.

Think I'd start with..

---------Murphy----------
Christie- Wood-Edge-Adams
---------Jennings---------
Baker--Moose--Bailey-- Macca
---------Clarke--------

Subs
Dunn
J Clarke
Elliot
Bell
Ball.

Elliot to come on as the game gets stretched.. albeit his contributions deserve a starting berth I cant see how he can fit into the favoured 4-5-1

Would think Bailey would come back in.

Have to say though, that was a great bit of play by Elliot to set Clarke up for that first goal on Friday. Be a shame for him to miss out again, but I feel it will be 4-5-1. think we changed our shape specifically for the Sheff Utd game, but will revert to our normal system on Tuesday.

---------Murphy----------
Christie- Wood-Edge-Adams
---------Jennings-----------
Baker-----------------Moose
-----------Bailey-------------
-------Clarke--Elliot--------

The only problem I can see with my line up is that Bailey is out of position as I've always seen Bailey as a defensive midfielder.

He does seem to get in the opporsitions box a lot though...

What do people think?

True true!

How about this then? I'm trying to think of ways of having two strikers while not saccrificing our best midfield players!

--------Murphy----------
Christie- Wood-Edge-Adams
-----Jennings--Bailey-------
Baker-----------------Moose
-------Clarke--Elliot--------

Not a true Diamond by any stretch of the imagination!

or

--------Murphy----------
Christie- Wood-Edge-Adams
---------Jennings---------
Baker----Bailey----Moose
-------Clarke--Elliot--------

I think it'll be a trademark 4-4-1-1 with the only change being Bailey in for Elliott.

If we stay 4-4-2, it'll be Bailey in for Sheffrey and Moussa on the wing.

Subs being: Dunn, Clarke, Thomas, Fleck, Elliott

Or if we go 4-4-2, subs will be, Ball in for Elliott (as he's starting) and Sheff for Fleck or Thomas.

Just seen other posts, I don't know why others are making other shapes we're going to play, it's just not going to happen, we're either going to play 4-5-1, 4-4-2 or 4-4-1-1'so there's no point using any other shape...

Somebody back there dropped arguably our best player and left footed left back to accommodate J Clarke and Christie on his wrong foot !!

Thinking about it, I think this game v Yeovil is must-win, so I think MR should drop a couple of players for the JPT game v Crewe, nothing dramatic, just 2-3 players, I'd start:

Murphy
Clarke Wood Edj Adams
Baker Thomas Jennings Fleck Sheff
Elliott

Give Elliott a go upfront to prove what he can do.

You'd drop Clarke after scoring a brace?

Robins hasn't rested anyone all season, I don't think e's going to start doing it in a cup semi.

-----------Murphy------------
Christie--Wood--edj--Adams

or
4-5-1
With Elliot dropping to the bench and Thomas or bailey as the 5th midfielder.

Strachan used to do this all the time.... have one player injured then juggle 3 others out of position to accommodate the loss....

I really think MR will start 4-5-1.. depending on how the game shapes will dictate if it remains so. If we arent creating chances or winning can see him switch to 4-4-2 with Jennings off for Elliot.. who by all accounts played really well again at Sheff Utd.

Murphy
J.Clarke Edje Wood Adams
Moussa Thomas Jenno Sheffers
Elliott L.Clarke

Subs: Dunn, Cameron, Christie, Bailey, Fleck, Barton, Ball

although i'd like tos ee what ball can do after injury, elliott did great and clarke scored twice on friday, so why change a winning formula. still suprised robins changed the formation

If Bakes is injured, don't put Moussa out there, thats been done before and didnt work

Either Christie or Bell please

And if Bailey is still injured, we'll need Frank in the middle!!
