If they build a new stadium they are looking at spending at least 30 million. To my mind they would struggle to sell the stadium and the club for the cost of the stadium.

Given the low attendances at sixfields and the size of the wage bill it's hard to see JS making a profit if ACL don't sell. Question is can ACL starve them out?

if you new the answer to that, surely you'd be on their payroll, because the ones they don't seem the smartest to me.

Buying the Ricoh cant happen either. Their model for acquisition would involve one of 2 things, buying the ground via a 3rd party and then charging the club a rental which would be the same model as we have now, this would put off any buyers of the club for the same reasons that SISU have taken the club away. Number 2 is they raise a mortgage for the Ricoh and saddle the club with the payments, although it unites both parts it will make the purchase of the club unattractive with massive debts to service. On top of that they would have to get fund investors to once again dip into their pockets, the same investors that are currently wondering what SISU have done investing in a football club already, it would be an extremely hard sell for Joy and Dermott.

Nothing of any note is going to happen until after Nov 28th and the judicial review, that's when the fur will fly and the council and ACL will be able to put their side of the story forward. Their silence is killing SISU at the moment that's why their on the PR offensive. Sisu could of course try to strike a deal but can they afford it. Strikes me that SISU directors according to their last accounts only took small dividends in wages, if you are a successful multi million pound fund manager you would like to think you're earnings would br higher than senior managers within in the council. there is only one way I can see of SISU getting their money back and it's unlikely to happen to say the least!

If they moved back to the Ricoh on the £400K rent with access to income streams and got us promoted to the prem while staying at roughly break even they could pocket the money from promotion and sell CCFC as a premier league club. there's pretty much zero chance of that happening and I really can't see any other exit strategy that gets them any return. Building a new ground just seems to load up more debt and I can't see that the ground will be worth more than the cost of building it.

I think SISU getting us back to the RICOH and the premiership is a GREAT IDEA. If they do then all is forgiven(well almost anyway)!!!!!

I don't think this was the SISU strategy at all. They took over the club as a route to the Arena, but the idiots JS hired screwed up. The football club is simply an irritating sore that if SISU were to get the arena would be sold, without owning the arena and as many posters have already stated that is what caused todays mess.
The thought of SISU owning a prized asset in Coventry becomes less appealing every day, and it started out as being undesirable at the start of the year.

what's the market value of the Ricoh? given that SISU keep saying it's a failing business would they really be able to sell a package of the Ricoh / CCFC on for more than £60m?

Why do people have this fucking idea that IF SISU get the Ricoh they will sell CCFC and charge an extortionate rent amount????

I know, it's a tough one to fathom, isn't it? I can't for the life of me think why some fans might remain sceptical as to SISU's intentions given how lovingly they have treated Coventry City and its supporters over the last 6 years.

Why, when Joy intimated herself to Les Reid that she would not again be involved in a football club. Why do you think SISU would not saddle the club with either a high rental agreement or mortgage if they got the Ricoh, She has admitted she should not have bought the club in the first place and a rental if they owned the Ricoh would pay the mortgage and give them some monthly return. The other incomes she would get would be from a licence agreement with AEG to run the concert and exhibition side of the business, this helps SISU but still leaves the club hamstrung as far as financial fair play goes. The club is secondary to SISU's primary exit strategy of getting the Ricoh at all cost, whats your argument for?

Who said anything about being loving?? I'm not expecting Joy to pop round and give me a rub and tug once a month! However, I appreciate that they have bankrolled the club since they took over without fuck all return, I appreciate that if they hadn't took over when they did, we would possibly have been out of business. Fans seem to only take note of what they want to!

Fans have a right to know the truth at least. If they did not then owners might be able to disenfranchise the team to another location for instance, your and my money in ticket and shirt sales helps them pay their way and it should be spent on football not legal appeals. But as she has been described as having balls of steel in the boardroom I think you would have more chance of her potting your brown than a hand shandy. NOPM
