The jist of what I got from the CWR interview was that the ref allowed us to make the substitution but didn't allow us the time to reshuffle the shape of the team and it almost cost us a goal. Basically he was saying he started the game to soon.

Abou time he showed some mettle.
I want to see our players doing more of it as well

Ref had an absolute shocker. Not just that, but the time-wasting from Chesterfield wound him up. I think it helped the players personally.

He also said he doesn't feel our players are getting the protection they deserve, just think it was frustration that's built up over the last few games.

took Phillips off and sent sub on. They took the free kick down our right and there was no full back there! Very nearly scored from it. He had every right to be pissed off with the clown.

A number of things, but the ref allowing Tudgay on but not allowing him to take up possition and Chesterfield almost scored was the final straw...he told him he was not protecting our players....We have a football match to win and a lot of passionate followers..."I'm a passionate guy and I care about this team" then he went up in the stand.

that 'piece of work' Tierney had an utter shocker, home bias, no protection to our players, & he encouraged chesterfields thug tactics, that Morsey character (no5), should have been second yellowed, & that useless arse with the yellow flag wants it put where the sun don't shine,
if things even themselves out over the whole season then we should be due favourable officials for the next 20 games

The offside of Murphy was shocking. Armstrong stood there and Murphy went through and waved him off when he was clearly on and Armstrong wasn't interfering with play.

I know others have said it on here before, but I just can't get over the poor standard of refereeing in this league.

Mowbray's done well to keep a dignified silence over the last 4 games, but he's right our players don't the protection they deserve - just look at that tackle on Lameiras in the Sheffield United for example that should've been a red and could've seriously injured the lad

Probably finally snapped at the fact we've had 4 shite refs in a row.

That was bad! Think the Lino just couldn't keep up so went with the easier option to halt Murphys pace

He had every right to show frustration, but the annoying thing is all it will do is result in him getting warned / fined / banned by the powers that be, and the shite ref will be back Redding again next week!

On the match thread I posted about him continuing to call over captains, and at one point Ricketts was called over and had his head in his hands imitating that he was being spoken to about something very petty.

I've taken to tweeting the FA and Footvall league when we have bad refs. Not that it'll make any difference and they'll probably just resort to blocking me, but it makes me feel a little bit better, however pointless it may be

As I've said elsewhere on other threads It's up to our players especially the most senior to swamp the referee and Intimidate him as with Grant when Norwich and Southampton with Lambert during their promotions.

As the Football League did with me over our move to Northampton. But you are right it makes you feel better. At least you have expressed a well thought out opinion. Probably backed up by cctv footage. Keep doing it.

Can't remember which post this was referred to in, but here's a short clip of their keeper taking out the young fan who decided it was appropriate to goad him

Did he actually get sent off or just advised to go to the stand. CWR were saying he hadn't actually been shown a card.

Oh...not sure actually. If that's the case then is being sent to the stands like a friendly warning?!

Can't see what would stop the ref saying go to the stands or I'll send you off. In which case he won't have technically been sent off and therefore won't get any punishment.

From what I could see, He had a word, Mowbray said something as ref went to walk away, resulting in him showing him to the stand.

However I found it interesting that he appeared from the tunnel immediately at Full Time. So either he was removed from the dug out but no where for him to go, or a TV set in the tunnel maybe to watch the closing minutes before re appearing?

Either way this is the first time he's been open in criticising officials so a ban would be harsh

Only players get shown a card not team officials/managers. Their punishment is being sent to the stands and a misconduct report will follow from the referee and the punishment decided by what was said at the time by Mowbray and put in the report.
