Why wouldn’t he? Managing England, especially with the young talent we have, is a great job to have. You just talk utter shite

Now it’s all about not wasting this crop of talent?

Most of the decent players are under 23.

The only players that are any good in their prime are Kane, who will still be in his prime come the euros. , and Sterling who everybody hates anyway.

Honestly, to get this worked up you should really log off and work on not letting small things bother you that much. It’s like tying the noose after Cov lose to Nuneaton in a friendly.

Yeah because Poch has just done a marvellous job coaching PSG.

Talking shite is calling for the sacking of a manager with about 3-4 games before the World Cup starts.

To many of the fringe players are not doing enough either to force themselves into the starting eleven… grealish, Arnold, Bellingham, callagher etc just little glimpses and not much else. Foden England constantly injured, kicked out the squad, illness etc but he needs a run of games now.

What the 8 pages is going on here then

It’s a fucking exhibition tournament I genuinely can’t believe anyones watching it never mind going to it

couldn’t tell you what any of the scores have been.

Last real tournament we were in we got to the final, that’s all that matters.

Very true. I am concerned by the lack of goals though. That is a worry. I am not too bothered at all whether we are in the top tier, or lower one. It's just a chance to try and few things out really isn't it.

What bothers me are the assumptions that it’s just based on one game. He’s had us playing like this for years and last night was that catching up with him.

If it’s a bunch of glorified friendlies then let’s use them to let players have more creative freedom and entertain people

I agree.

We know the two holding midfielders can work for us. We have so many creative players though. Let's give them a chance to flourish.

I do think Grealish can be a bit hit and miss, but the best way to find out if he's good enough for England, would have been to pick him for all 4 games. See how he does.

And it's not like he can be included in this list of exhausted players. He only played 26 times for Man City last season.

Did he have any intention of winning?

"Yeah but we got to a final"

He also brought players off the bench for the pens.

He should have gone after the Euros. At least Poch is tactically more astute than Fraudgate and the football would be better. Anyone who thinks Southgate is doing a good job need to follow a different sport as they clearly know nothing about football

Southgate does not have the tactical ability to get the best out of this attacking talent. It's painful watching us pass side to side along the back line and then hit a long hopeful ball to the wingers. He reached his peak during the Euros and it's only down hill from there.

He will take us to the World Cup but should leave after. It's time to move on.

We reached a semi final and a final, therefore this very poor run of form is acceptable and we should give him the benefit of the doubt.

It was absolutely awful but at the same time I can't bring myself to care about the Nations League, the second you do that UEFA and their sponsors and probably Al Qaeda have won. I'm not sure playing on for a month at the end of a long season and before another season that's going to have a tournament stupidly plonked in the middle of it is the best idea

"Glorified friendlies that Don't mean anything " until we get relegated then have to play Spain or France in the group stages of European qualifying and have to settle for a playoff place as we rarely beat top 10 sides

Stop covering up for woeful performances

Amazing that they won at Wembley by a greater margin last night than their great team led by Puskas

And we didn't actually lose the game. It went to penalties.

It shouldn't have done though, I will give you that. We should have won and were given the perfect platform TO win that day. Still hurts me now that we sat back, when the game looked there for the taking.

Considering that the game was played at Wembley with only around 2,000 Italian fans, yes they should have done.

The Croatia and Italy games followed the same template when they were both there for the taking but we quickly retreated with our lead to invite a comeback. If we had the confidence (and ability) to control a game we'd be flying. Also I'd have Pope as the main keeper.

I’ve said it before that Southgate coaches are letting him down. In the euro final the Italian coaching staff were all there supporting manchi make the decisions when we were on top. It won them the final.

The England coaches only moved when Shaw scored. We are tactically inept and Southgate in my opinion needs to take a look at the support he has.

Always worries me when someone does that. Australia brought on an absolute clownshoe goalkeeper for their game the other day, he was giving it the full Grobbelaar distraction dancing on the line and not getting anywhere near the Peru penalties until he saved the one that won the game. Absolute injustice

Agreed. His antics on the line were even worse than grobbelaar. I thought keepers nowadays weren't allowed to do that any more, but I'm wrong.

Yeah I thought at first the ref was telling him to stop it but it looks like he was just making sure he was staying on the line, I've since seen other videos of him doing the same shit for his club and annoyingly it seems to work. I've never wanted a team to lose as much as I did seeing that guy
