At the moment the midfield seems to be very weak and no good at going in to tackles. So the first signing we should make in January is definitely a ball winning physical midfielder. Remember last season when we were going to sign that Toumani from brentford? He's the exact type of player we need to sign, for some reason that transfer seemed to fall through. Do you all agree that we need a ball winning midfielder?

Err, Goal Keeper, Dominant CB, Yes a ball winning midfielder, Effective CF.

A midfielder who can join the forwards and score a few might be a better along with a forward who has a shot now and again a bit of pace wouldnt go amiss either

a manager who moves his midfleld closer to the strikers would help -the high press has been abandoned

Any player with more than one attribute would be a good start, as i can name 8 players in our sqaud that are so limited that L1 and lower will be the career and level they play at from now on..

Fleck, Barton and Swanson (Touch Players)
Thomas, OB and Daniels( Work rate)
Clarke, Jackson (apparently) (Pace)

The Websters,Mcquoid, Tudgay and Allsop will not be around long or don't have another season in them.


The better players we have do have at least 2 attributes Reda, Nouble, Willis, Maddison and Haynes.. The other younger kids need time to be judged if this is a level they can compete at..

Pick any number between 1 and 11. We need them all.

We might be able to make up a subs bench with the present players though.

Goal keeper has got to be a top priority,allsopp to go back but there is no way burge is good enough if either continue we will be in even more shit, get madine and nouble both till the end of the season and sack off tudgay get one more forward in and a midfielder

We need Murphy (or Westwood), Christie, Baker, Moussa and McGoldrick. It's just so much easier (and cheaper in the long run) to keep the good players that you have instead of getting rid of them and then trying to find equally good replacements.

To be honest, I think the entire squad has lacked bite since Boothroyd. Gone are the days people were talking about a 'tough to beat' Coventry; a 'physical' Coventry. Can't think of many players since then that have really showed that fire in the belly, steely grit and tenacity to win you matches in the lower leagues.
