Brau and Joel shouldn't be anywhere near our 11. They aren't at this level, faitplay to them they give it everything but they just aren't good enough.

Rudoni and Wright just arent adding anything at the moment, which is a form related.

We need a left back and a midfielder that can play in the 8/10 role.

Wrights not just form related he’s lazy and don’t put a shift their centre backs had an easy game against him

It's been a mixture of things, clearly.

1. Small squad
2. Tiredness
3. Illness
4. Our number 1 striker way out of form and not putting the ball in the back of the net
5. Rudoni, out of form
6. Saka out of form
7. Having to play probably the best side in the league twice within weeks

It's very rectifiable. A few astute signings in this window would really help us regroup and go again.

Keep the faith. I was disappointed with the draw, but looking at the table, it's still all looking very rosy and maybe Rudoni is NOW back on his game at last .

You have to add that Lampard dropped Simms for said striker, despite being in goalscoring form.

We desperately need to bring in 3 or 4 new signings, otherwise lack of squad depth will fuck over us over.

Honestly, as much as I want to join the panic train... I think we all need to chill the fuck out. Really tough set of fixtures, most congested part of the year with a bug that seems to have impacted a lot of players. Take a breath everyone.

Ideally two wingers or at least a player that can play across the wing and no 10.

CM for competition / rotation with Torp and Rudoni we lack creativity without them.

50/50 on this but if a decent offer came in for Hadji I’d be tempted to take it and get a new no 9. Ferguson rumour was probably pie in the sky but a CF that can win headers, hold the ball up and score would see us up.

If wright scores today all talk is about both strikers dangerous etc

Talk of needing new striker is premature

Simms or wright will get us over the line. Wingers is what we need to be able to rotate and a centre mid so don't need to play Allen. He did alright today but we want better

...but wright didn't score, did he.
yet again.

he's cover for emc. nothing else.
and if he's not happy with that, sell him.

Not true though is it. He's our main striker in lampard view. And he will get scoring again

Premature?

Haji Wright hasn’t scored since 4th October, how long are we supposed to give the bloke to prove he can score consistently and contribute to the team even when he isn’t scoring.

Yeah, true, but we don't know the reasoning behind that. I am always happy to give a manager the benefit of doubt

Did seem odd, but maybe Simms was carrying a knock. We just don't know

So much going on behind the scenes that we just don't see.

Tell you what give him 100 odd games an if he hasn’t scored, oh I don’t know say 40 goals, then have at him.

I mean it was pointed out by a few of us that despite us retaining our players we didn’t sign enough in the summer. Granted i expected it to hamper us at the start of december and the fact it’s only really started harming us last few games isn’t as bad as we have the ability to sign.

Doug needs to move fast on them though

Great he’s scored 40 goals, but what has he contributed today, other than abysmal finishing? He’s been invisible since he came back from injury.

positives, rudonis getting better every game, back 4 should be back to normal Sunday, saka and EMC back, hopefully torp was just a precaution, assante a few weeks away from coming back and 9 point gap to 3rd, it’s not a bad start to the year, and if you’re loosing you’re shit with 21 games to go then good luck for the run in

It’s the main thing that could stop us. Let’s be honest people were getting very cocky saying we only need to sign ready made prem players. we need to sign what we need to get us over the line

I don’t think he was in the top five issues we had today and isn’t most days tbh. He’s clearly having a barren run as all strikers do. But our defence is having a run of handing out goals and our midfield is having a run of being absolutely non existent so it’s in keeping with most of the team. Like Dasilva and Simms and Lats he’s a player a fair few have just been waiting for an excuse to start on him again.

What we need.
All our players to get a rest, shake off the bugs, and get everybody over their injuries. That is what is screwing us. Won't happen until after Birmingham. We need JDS back in the team. We have missed him big time. Bidders must have the bug and Brau is not ready. BTA needs to get fit and up to speed.
Look at all the results lately. All the teams are totally inconsistent apart from Ipswich who have a £200 million team with a top squad.
Everybody who plays us or Ipswich from here on is seeing it as their cup final.
We need a player or players in this window who can either start matches or effect matches when they come on as a sub. No good going for development at this stage.

Today was one of the easier away games and we were awful and lucky to get a point in the end , we’ve been found out as everything we do has to go through Grimes we need other midfield players to step up and start creating.

Relax would be a good place to start.

Our good players haven't suddenly become shite. We're suffering the same as everyone else with illness, suspensions, injuries and fatigue. We still have a big lead and have important players coming back.

I do wish he’d just come out and say we can’t afford players because what he does say or what comes out makes it sound like he’s making footballing decisions not financial ones. Not helped by successive managers acting like they have no clue what happens with transfers until they’re through the door.

Well, except Ipswich who are bang in form and chasing us down.

We're now second in the expected tables which is a tad worrying.

At least there is a bit of time to rest after the Birmingham game. The FA Cup game I'm not bothered about .
