So the only thing Robins can do for the Colchester game is to wave a magic wand and have them all back to fitness. But seriously, what do people expect Robins to do? It's going to be another big challenge for those who are fit. Biamou aside, they didn't rise to the challenge on Saturday, so realistically, what confidence can we have that they will beat Colchester? We can only hope that one or two have recovered sufficiently to play and that individually and collectively the whole team make more of a game of it.

The hardest decision Robins has, is who to play at RM, because since Jodi Jones injury, no-one looks good enough. Vincenti has been a big disappointment, but seems the best of a poor bunch. I suppose the jury is out on Barrett because he's clearly unfit.

Simple. Keep possession of the ball. That’s how to win games. And before any says it I know we are not Barcelona but all teams can improve with basic training. To start wth stop the rugby style kick offs and the pointless attempts at working the line from every throw in. Stop attempting 45 yard diagonals. Stop the keeper kicking it straight down the middle to his opposite number. Get him to aim at the channels (note to Burge - these are not in the front rows of the stands). Get the front two closer together. If they do all of these things they will retain the ball far more.

I'm pretty sure England used to do it under Graham Taylor under the premise of putting teams under pressure deep in their own half straight from kick off. It's one of those things that has no logical explanation though when you look at the reality of what actually happens - possession conceded and no early momentum built up. Whenever teams do that against me, it gives me a lift, as I always take it that they're not confident enough of keeping hold of the ball on the floor. Puts a spring in my step and makes me press that bit harder, just to see. -1 point to them in the psychology stakes straight from kick off.

My first comment after the opening kick off on Saturday.

Accrington made a short pass and tried to weave their way upfield in the second half, but not us. We always just automatically kick it towards the touchline and invariably it usually just goes out if play.

In just over 30 years of supporting the club, I genuinely cannot remember a time when we've had so much bad luck with injuries/illness.

I don't get why it's being allowed to happen every game all season time and time again, even when we go 1-0 down we just hammer the ball out of play or to Biamou who is there on his own. Even if he wins it, it goes to their defender.

It's the same as throw ins, even if by some miracle Biamou can win a header with somebody in front of him and the other one behind him holding him down there's nobody behind him anyway to get the flick on.

Nobody has told us the rules aren't to lay it back then hammer it forward.

I don't think he cocked up at all. If Nazon played for the team in all his games and stuck to the tasks set he'd of played more.

Nazon is solely out this season to make a name for himself, he's doing that just with his goals to raise his profile at wolves. Did it in L2 briefly, lost his way and needs the new challenge to showcase his ability. He's doing it now for oldham in L1 at his request.

We need a complete change in tactics, and we need to drop a few players. The commitment wasn't there on Saturday which is shocking considering what a day it was. Some of those players need dropping, and even though his commitment was there, Biamou does too.

Depending on illness, I would go with:

Burge

Willis
Hyam (absolutely dying for a chance, he will perform)
McDonald
Stokes

Kelly
Reid (hate him but won't spite my face on this one)
Bayliss

Vincenti (his actual position)

JCH
McNulty

It's a 4-4-2 with Doyle holding and Vincenti playing just behind the strikers in the middle. I know it leaves Bayliss on the right but I can't think of anyone else who will be good enough.

It's a gamble, but after the last two games I think we need it.

he made a difference from the bench and when he started

we are starting to miss him

the fact he had a worldy in him and dribbling skills helped us overcome the poor system.

not an option to get him back now anyway so robins needs to work on tactics

Only in some games, it's the same as McNulty where we can't rely on people scoring worldies. We need team goals and a way to break teams down rather than hoping we score from 30 yards or a striker can take 2 defenders on and put it in.

Another thing that pisses me off is throw ins. Do they get fined if anybody else other than the full back takes them?

There has been times on a counter attack where it goes out for a throw, does the striker / winger or anybody run for it to get it and throw it to the player in space? Course not, we wait for the full back to stroll up to try the long throw to the player double marked with nobody else around him once everybody else is back in position.

Do they not teach any other players throw ins any more?

you also see the throw in taker looking to hit the space at the front f the 18 yard box but there's no one there. If Biamou moves into that spare there's no one for him to flick it on to. Thought that might get solved when Vicenti came on but it was still as ineffective.

It's pretty pointless as they get double marked. DKE did it a few times on Saturday, he may as well have just thrown it out for a goal kick.

Oh and somebody needs to put one on Stevenson in the first 5 minutes as well and get in his ear. It's pretty obvious from watching him that he is easy to bully and intimidate, we will be missing a trick to go out there and be his best mate and stand off him and let him do what he wants.

Couldn't give a shit how long he was here, we need to win and get any advantage we can. If that means snapping him early doors then so be it.

Loads on here i agree with - yes throw ins - disaster - ball inevitedly ends up going to a player within 6 ft who has no where to go - hospital pass - we need a long throw specialist - they need to be taught how - we waste so much time on throw ins and playing on the line and giving the ball away - DKE - NO NO NO - move Willis and put Hyam in the centre possibly - if players are ill they need a rest - put JC on - Brighton not important today

indeed but a striker that can do them is a huge plus and we have lost 1 unforuntley

It's not to be relied upon though, we would be better off creating more chances and getting more normal games with a gameplan rather than just "Give it to Nazon and hope he scores".
