What if Godden had not skied that chance just after we equalised against Luton at Wembley

What if Haji made a clean connection with that header in the 2nd leg at Sunderland

Hopefully we can look back at both of those in May and say everything happens for a reason!

I’d say Hamer being injured in the final. Convinced if he stays on we win.

Aside from the obvious ones in semi-finals/finals, that Darius Henderson miss has always stuck with me for some reason.
And Yakubu not being able to physically move after just coming on. Purely because I think it showed how much of a shambles we were at the time

I didn't think the Godden chance was that easy but I'm convinced if Hamer didn't get injured we would've won that game

It wasn't in fairness... But I have seen him score them

Mine goes back a long way. The league cup semi final 2nd leg last minute defeat at West Ham.

It arguably led to the disbanding of the most talented group of young players we’ve ever had.

Bristol City away. 90 mins of straight long balls over Clive Platt's head. Sh*tty rainy day. Every goal was sh*t. Just so bad.

It's not a "what if" moment, but I will never forget how it felt when Gary Mac scored that free kick for Liverpool at Highfield Road in 2001. Not just how gutting it was that it was him (he didn't celebrate, to give him credit), but that was the moment that I think it really sank in for a lot of us that there wasn't going to be a great escape this time, this time we weren't going to get out of it, this time relegation really is going to happen. I was 13 and it broke my heart.

Torp. I was pretty much on my hands and knees hyperventilating and then in the row behind me hugging the lads sitting there who over the course of the game seemed to have gone from casual observers with some link to Cov to absolute die-hard sky blues.

Even my Man Utd supporting mate who was next to me was applauding. And then it was gone. Horrible. Never felt anything quite like that, or at least never had such a rollercoaster of emotions condensed into such a short period of time. The build up of the comeback and the momentum all peaking in that moment and the noise and the spectacle of our fans getting louder and louder all throughout the game was just magical. And fucking awful.

Torp's disallowed Wembley winner
I still maintain to this day, that when V.A.R drew the lines across the pitch, it went half way up the United players boot, and not on his toes.
Has it of been on his toes, It would of been just onside.

100% trumps the game vs Luton.

I think we would have beaten City in the final too.

It's the sour taste it had to be the jammy Yanited cunts.

It was also so subjective when Ohare flicked it up...was on his boot for a millisecond longer...they took it as the moment ohares touched the ball not when released. I maintain that anyway!

The Dabo penalty.

There was a feeling around when you saw it was him stepping up, and the crestfallen response from other members of the crowd. Even though he hadn't missed yet, it was pretty clear that many around had a feeling that he probably would.

Then of course he did, and it was all over so fast. Horrible feeling.

Definitely the Torp goal against Man Utd.

I’m over the play off final now. We wasn’t ready for promotion that year on or off the pitch. We’re in a far better position now and are much better equipped to go up and maybe stay up.

The Torp one I will go to the grave saying that goal wasn't offside - and I still and always will feel cheated

But the blow is softened ever so slightly that as amazing as going to an FA Cup final would have felt, we didn't actually lose out on much as 9 times out of 10 City routinely batter us in the final

I just count my blessings it happened after the days where the FA Cup runners up were awarded a European birth (Like Milllwall in 04, and Hull in 2014)... that would have made it 110% worse knowing we could have took a tonking off City safe in the knowledge a European campaign was on the cards

hamer going off injured - he would take the pen instead of dabo, and we'd have been promoted.

(and kept vik and hamer for at least another season)

Sheff Utd ¼ final when the ball rolled under Niellsons foot and the ref said he touched it for a corner. They equalised 95th minute from it

I don’t think we’d have beaten city but getting to an FA cup final is a massive achievement in itself. It would have gone down as the best fa cup game ever and now because of a stupid var decision it was forgotten by the neutrals within a few days.

Dabo would have taken our next one anyway.

The penalty was to level the shootout not win it...
